I'm Brazilian and follow closely the Brazilian League. Sadly, Kaio Jorge is nothing special and so far, does not seem to be a Juve caliber player.

However, I have seen in the past other Brazilian players who were just "ok" but end up improving a lot after moving to Europe, such as Richarlison and Casemiro for instance.

We'll see what's going to happen with Kaio Jorge but there are much better prospects to go for in my opinion.
We could name many but another one that comes to mind is Coutinho who was also a nobody at Vasco and Inter and became one of the best players in the world during his time at Liverpool.

It was so easy to tell who were the real deal in the past, these days it’s like even the talented ones get stuck somewhere in the process of taking that next step.

And he definitely won't be playing for the U23.

Only thing I still didn't understand is if he will move now or in 01 year. I'm thinking Juve will end up paying something so it happens now, considering it's not usual in Brazil this kind of news leaks 1 yr before. The guy won't be able to continue to play normally, like nothing has happened. And Santos is absolutely ruined financially. My guess is Juve will end paying something between 2-5M for the immediate signing. His agent leaked it so he gets bargaining power towards his release by Santos, I guess.

Actually Coutinho was always hyped in Brazil. Rumor has it he was sold to inter when he was only 15 years old by Vasco da Gama's controversial president Eurico Miranda. I'm from Rio and at the time people were saying he used that money from Coutinho's transfer to buy his beach house. In Brazil there is a law named after Pele which only allow players to leave the country after they turn 18 years old, which made the whole thing very controversial.

But yeah, Coutinho was always very hyped. He played with Neymar for every Youth level for the National Team.

Another Brazilian who nobody heard of even back in Brazil was Fabinho from Liverpool. Had a crazy development during his time in Portugal.

I'd rather we pay Santos the peanuts they need and bring him now so we can decide in the next 2-3 weeks whether we keep him or convince him to go on loan.

His contract expires end of December.

He's a young Brazilian striker with a cool sounding name. Some EPL club will pay $10M for him even if he doesn't do well here. If we can get him for free (or for a minimal fee), why not? Plus, he might actually turn out to be good.

I’m Brazilian born btw so I’m familiar with the law and old enough to remember Eurico Miranda’s glorious days. I haven’t followed Brazilian football in ages but I remember when Coutinho was coming up and I don’t recall any of my Vasco or Carioca friends for that matter hyping him up, on the contrary none of them thought he was anything special and if I recall this right he barely had any minutes under Vasco.

I guess it depends what you consider hype. I mean all the major clubs were after Neymar and everybody knew who he was before the move to Europe, now that’s hype.

I remember that, it's probably true.

My Fluminense has a hoard of cheap talented youngsters (Fabinho and Richarlison were actually some of them). I strongly recommend Martinelli, current ball playing CM... if we are going to be raped, let it at least be by Juve. This kid is immense, but can't get the hype of others who play upfront. Also isn't an anthletic standout. But is an amazing passer, uses both feet very well and, above all, is highly wit and quick-thinking. He is an aggressive and inteligent passer, who is never shy of the moment. Love the kid. For probably something like 6-8M, you can have him. Sad. :(

Signing him and keep Ronaldo and Dybala mean we will play with 2 striker next season. No 4231 or 433.
This kaio kid is a poacher, absolutely not a winger.
I hope Alle won't play Ronaldo on the flank anymore. Horrible unbalance team in 18/19.

I really don’t know him so its hard to tell, some YouTube videos which I saw he doesn’t seem like anything special, yet in others he’s kinda good. I’ve been reading amounts between 6 and 10m for him.

If we didn’t had Da Graca I’d be for his transfer, now I’m not so sure. A place behind Morata/Dybala is the ideal spot for a primavera player.
He will be twice of Da Graca and you should be happy

Isn't Martinelli go to Arsehole?
