In the last few hours, Borussia Dortmund has set its sights on Merih Demiral , Juventus defender born in 1998 .

For Borussia Dortmund it is the goal in defense
The team of new coach Marco Rose , has set its sights on the Turkish player as the main goal for defense . The German club, which in recent days has completed negotiations with Manchester United for the farewell of Jadon Sancho , would be ready to make an offer to the Juventus club for Demiral.

At Borussia with Emre Can?
Demiral in the case would find Emre Can , the German midfielder former Juventus, with whom he played together in the first part of the 2019/20 season under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri , before the latter's farewell in the direction of Dortmund .

Demiral, interest in Serie A and beyond
The defender is not appreciated only abroad, but also in Serie A . Among the clubs involved, Atalanta and Rome have come forward in recent weeks . The two clubs have tried to understand the feasibility of the operation, but the answer from Juventus is clear: to sell the defender, the Bianconeri want 40 million euros .

Willing to sacrifice cb depth for petty cash?
For me, only crazy club would offer 40m for him, taking into account his recent form, injuries and general crysis

Juve working to sell Merih Demiral to realize a big capital gain. Juve ask €35-40M for the turkish centre-back. After Atalanta even Dortmund are pushing to sign him. Dortmund are preparing an official bid for €30m plus bonuses . For him ready a contract until 2026 (€3M/year). (Nico schira)

The best talent scouts in the world at Dortmund want Demiral. But Tuzers want him gone. Yeah Ok.
it doesnt matter what we want, the club wants to sell him and there is nothing we can do about it. Though, for the rumored demanding price of 40m I would sacrifice him myself.

What kind of reasoning is this. BVB also wanted Emre Can for like 30m. It's not like they are perfect with their scouting and valuations.

40m for Demiral is a ton of money. Its not like he was good last season with Juve, or with Turkey in the euros, and had injury problems. Doubt Juve would refuse.

So Dortmund wants Demiral just cuz Can. Yeah ok.

Juve can sell him for plusvalenza just like everybody else. But let’s not complain when we’re rolling Chiellini out to the center circle with his walker.

Demiral has sucked for a while. Would be perfect to ship him for 40M before he fades away. Obviously Rugani and Chiellini are even bigger liabilities for this coming season, but those we are stuck with for other reasons.
Pay Atalanta 20M and do a swap with Romero. They get a player who wants to stay with them and make some decent cash. Or inquire about one of their many other interesting players who can go directly into our starting 11.

We are forced to sell an 'asset' like Demiral because we're incapable of selling garbage players like Bernardeschi, Rugani or De Sciglio.

We need to generate cash somewhere and Demiral is probably among our most disposable 'asset' even though I'd like him to remain.

I think that nobody really wants Demiral gone, most just want Locatelli more than they want Demiral.

Hopefully we find a solution that make us able to keep him. His value is 30/35m after 2 pretty underwhelming season due to the injuries, he has the potential to skyrocket to 50/60m if he has a good season.

What's even worse is us usually selling someone in order to get funds which later gets spent on worse players than the ones we sold.

Well if you could “sell” them they wouldn’t be garbage. Garbage is something you throw away without receiving anything in return.
We rejected Chelsea offer of 30 million euros for Rugani few years back thinking he is the future I hope we don't make the same mistake with Demiral it is only chance of plusvalenza
