You can discuss the merits and personality of Icardi but his injury record over the past season should not be overlooked.

Given Dybala's injury issues and that Morata can have periods of doing very little, I think we need someone more reliable as an alternative.

That and the issue that players like Icardi are pretty outdated at successful top teams. I can't think of any in recent years with a striker whose only contribution is poaching. Sure he had a good record at Inter but is he worth building a team around, I think football has moved on.
