The way Szczesny is being discarded and being treated like trash here seems funny to me. He didn't have a great season by his standards but not so long ago, he was by far the best GK in the league. Maybe if his name was Szcznini, had an Italian passport and ate pasta bolognese, maybe he would get more respect around here.

I understand the transition to move to a younger GK but please show some respect. Also swap with Florenzi would be a bad deal. Hope we get better opportunities.

Handanovic was better then Szczesny before this season tbh.

Woj is worth way more than Florenzi.
If we are to believe reports its more of Donnarumma+Florenzi for Woj. as there are no offers we know on the only option is to exchange him and you`d definitely not going to get a star player for him...
Anyway I hope we respond with Zaniolo for him so even if he stays injured he wouldnt really be a risk as he would basically help getting Donnarumma (unless we call him a risk as well..)

There was one year he won best GK in the league but there are GK who are better than him in all the other years (and maybe you could even include that year if you disregard the GK award)

I dont think anyone here think he is a bad GK. The thing is - he isnt that great either. Im against selling players who really do well but has he really done that well?
My answer could be different from yours but if I have to grade him I`d give him a 7 which means he did a good job but not a great one.
Should he eat more pasta I might change my mind though...

Don't agree. Handanovic is far more error prone than Szczesny is.
I`d say its a close one but Handanovic got his side more confidence in organizing the defense and he was a better shot stopper.

I get woj has less clean sheets this season due to us being shit as a team and also he played less because we played Buffon..but Samir has NEVER been a better keeper, ever.
Still the difference is not that big and I don't think he is worth twice what Samir makes..maybe we were hoping he'd be/become better idk but he needs to re adjust his demands.

Seems swaps are the key focus. Not overly fond of Florenzi but we do need cover for chiesa and Kulusevski if they are to play starting roles in allegris line up. Cuads being released up the ground and having florenzi as cover isn't a bad option. Yes we have danilo but I'm sure many would agree that he resurrected his career with us in a different roles across the backline.

Can zaniolo please not be mentioned by anyone. One it will not happen, two the poor bastard has done his knee multiple times and three roma will want a shitload more than woj in the deal.

Surely we can negotiate a swap deal with better players from roma.

Regarding Woj..if donnarumma wasn't available for free..would we even be entertaining the idea of offload woj and changing first keepers? I wouldn't have thought so. He is a good keeper.
