The club has announced at the beginning of every season that it aims to win all the competitions it is participating in. CL or not. I know that the CL requires more than a competitive squad but it remains that a competitive squad is the minimum requirement.

I agree that this midfield upgrade is enough to win the scudetto as long as we don't weaken another part of the team. Because that too has been a trend with Juventus. In addition to this upgrade, a coach with a clue is also important.
Remember when the club fired Max and hired Sarri and lowered the expectations to winning Serie A

good times

Source? Also it sounds like bs as why would he change Atalanta for Leicester when the former is a better side?
Leicester is third in the Prem. They actually are building a really good side and it’s better than Atalanta’s IMO. He would fit in well there on the left with Tielemans next to him and Castagne on the right. Sounds like more fun than having to deal with Rabiot or Arthur next to you.

Atalanta better than leicester? In what world
In a world where Atalanta reached Cl later stages and were eliminates by Real and Barca. Leicester I havent watched them this year part for youtubes here and then..
Atalanta are consistent and I expected him to get a bigger move.

I could be wrong as I said I havent watched them this year..

oh you ain't heard? atalanta have the superior squad led by a coach who people around these parts claim to be superior to allegri and zidane
I dont think anyone said he is a better coach.
He is better suited to our current team but we can also get other coaches and get results with exchanges and signings

No top team wants to hire a 63 year old with no history of winning titles. You keep saying his age doesn’t matter, but show me the last time a top club hired a pensioner without a history of winning. Even just one example. Please and thank you.

you should travel back in time to the allegri thread, next coach thread, and mercato threads of the past

He absolutely doesn’t suit our current squad. We have 4 CBs total, and one is constantly injured lol. Gasperini is one of the most tactically inflexible coaches in the league with his 3 at the back, regardless of what you think of the effectiveness of his tactics, which is partly why a lot of the young players that have left Atalanta have struggled at new clubs.

We’re gonna play 3 at the back with 3 reliable CBs and a 38 year old Chiellini who is never available lol

Allegri suits our current team far better and is a much better coach.

Leicester won when the league was weak but thats not the point.
I forgot that Pep and Klopp weren’t there yet... and that top clubs weren’t spending 100s of millions more than Leicester... oh wait...

None of those coaches will be remembered in twenty years. Only the top coaches winning trophies will be remembered. You can’t seriously be suggesting that guys like Guidolin and Bielsa and Pulis are going to be remembered in 20 years. Only the historically great winners are remembered. It’s really not an argument, not sure why you all are obsessed with making out like you can be remembered historically as a coaching great while never winning anything. You can’t. Just like every random coach who wins a trophy or two won’t be remembered either. Guys like Lippi, Ferguson, Sacchi, Trapatoni, Heynckes, Allegri, Zidane, Klopp, etc... those guys will be remembered. Gasperini will be forgotten in a decade if he doesn’t start winning trophies.
I've never claimed that you would be remembered as a coaching great while never winning anything. The point was that you don't simply remember coaches because they win a trophy or two. Gasperini will be remembered for what he did at Atalanta overall if he's remembered at all. Winning the Coppa Italia for example doesn't really change that one way or another. I don't know how long these guys I named will be remembered but I'd wager that most of the current footie followers know who they are. Obviously as time goes by everyone will be forgotten by the majority of people.

And kept lowering afterwards
Sarri instilled the wonderful mentality in our players that winning doesn’t matter much and second place is also a great accomplishment. It was only natural that we hired a laissez-faire coach after who would rather be drinking wine than stuck on the touch line.
