haaland's release clause is allegedly 75m, so as release clauses are due instantly, that alone would make 75m, without any additional fee payable over chiesa. chiesa's fee to make his move permanent is 40m payable in 3 years. supposing equal amounts over 3 years, that's an additional ~13m, so we're at ~88m without any agent fees for either players.

Then I guess it makes sense. But silly Dortmund for making that a thing. I supposed it was demanded from the agent, but still seems like waaaay to low.

I think at least 6 clubs will instantly activate it next summer (if true). Then it all comes down to wages. Can we compete there? I don't think so honestly. IMO he will be offered at least 30mln/season by all oil clubs and Real.

I don't mind the clause itself but it was kinda obvious he's a 100mln + player. It's only their loss imo

They get the player for a few years and make a nice profit. Still a great deal for them they just aren't that big of a club.

De Ligt has 150m and if someone activates that then I'm all for it. No CB ever has been worth that much.

150 is totally fine. 75 for such talent is absolutely insane, but I guess it was still a good deal for Dortmund to use that gem for 2-3 years

Dortmund could have probably sold him for 100M or more this summer but it seems they preferred to keep him for one more year and get a smaller transfer fee.

Shouldn't we totally revamp defense next season too? and I think our mid still needs work. Even if we can afford Haaland neglecting other areas surely will backfire.
