I don’t think it was necessarily an injury prevention thing. He just doesn’t wanna be here, and maybe there was movement on the market, so why play him if you don’t have to? He came on because Tek let Udinese back in it, so they needed him to kill the game. But who really knows, these are just theories. But it still makes more sense to me than benching him for tactical reasons in the first game of the season, especially when he started the two primary preseason games.

replacement should probably be a winger, or someone that can play both. Should this actually happen, I hope Bini finalizes the replacement before letting Ronaldo go, and not the other way around.
