our mercato is presumably complete after Locatelli. Is this team weaker or stronger than 2016/17 team?
attack is definitely much stronger, while midfield is probably a little weaker. Full backs a lot weaker. Defense is the same if everyone stays healthy. And GK is weaker too.

On paper only the GK looks shaky rest we will definitely win the scudetto but might find it tough in Europe against the top teams though nobody gave Chelsea a chance to win the champions league last season

2016 - Prime Chiellini, Bonucci, Wallzagli with Benatia as backup

2021 - Aging Chiellini, Bonucci and talented De Ligt with Rugani as backup

2016 for me.

We have potential to do just as well in midfield, although in hindsight we are assessing this after having come from a poor season under Pirlo. A lot of these player assessments may change once Allegri is all over them.

Aouar > Odegaard for me, the latter while creates room for others to score, is more injury prone to me.

Yeah, he was in la liga team of the season afaik. Seems like Arsenal is just destroying every player.

Back to Juve, the only move I can see happening right now is getting rid of Ramsey and loaning Pjanic. Personally I would like that move to happen - Pjanic is much better regista than Ramsey will ever be, plus Miralem will want to prove something after that Barca period.

I don't see us going for another CM unless we actually manage to get rid of one which is already unlikely, we are currently stacked in the midfield department altough maybe not necessarily with players that have the right characteristics or that actually complement eachother that well but Tolisso is surely not the solution to our needs, even more so not at the expense of an important utility player such as Danilo...

IMO overall exchanging Danilo would just create another hole that needs to be filled, this is a player that can cover all positions in defence rather well and proved he can be counted on so it's definitely not a good idea letting him go and ofc Allegri won't agree with that.

After Locatelli we should either bring a great attacking minded CM for a 4-3-3 type of formation or we should just keep it as it is.
Tolisso would add depth but I dont think he is better than what we have.
Danilo is a useful player who can fill many positions so its an easy no.

Lets collect all the CM and throw our only pure RB. We already have like 8 players for our 3 midfield in 4-3-3 : Locatelli, Rabiot, Bentancur, Ramsey, McKennie, Bernadeschi, Arthur, Fagioli. We dont need another one
