Nah, he's too expensive, he'll have no resale value and his salary is quoted to be 8.5m net, I don't think it's worth it. I'd agree that many players don't make it at Barca/Real, but this guy played for many managers in Barca + had a year in Bayern as well and never really established himself as a starter.
