If the midfield feeds more balls through and does it's job forwards will score more. Our current teams needed a Ronaldo because he needed to create on his own because the mid sucks
Exactly - Its not like any other team has Ronaldo.
Also IIRC in 2015 our midfield scored lots of goals while our attackers werent exactly at the 30 goals a season area...

You do realize that was a different coach with different players. When the mid gets new players that fortify the younger players will be able to play more like pogba did when he first came here
Maybe in 2 or 3 years but even then Fagioli, Rovella even if talented they are definitely no Pogba.
We got lucky Man Utd were stupid enough to let him go.

Those proceeds should go to investing in 2-3 quality starters in the midfield

Of course if Halaand is available then it should be considered

He said he is going to stay and I doubt he would sign a new contract. Haaland and Raiola put the reasonable offer in front of Dortmund and they accepted it. Its fair for both parties and Dortmund will get enough money to find a replacement.
75M will be his price but his salary will probably be around the 18M - The question is in which team it is going to be as I can see literally every top team offer him this type of contract so its more about his preference.
My bet - He would go to City and have a great fun with KDB
He won't come to us, pal. There is no way the likes of PSG, Man U, City, even Madrid etc. won't bid much more than us.

There's not a fibre in my body that believes Vlahovic will leave on a free. Of course there's always a chance but he's very grateful to Fiorentina in every interview and with every action. He genuinly sounds like a gentleman.

It doesn't really matter that much, but Mirante is leaving Roma on a free and if he's not retiring at the age of 37 he is the most logical move we should make for a third goalkeeper... He would be cheap, lots of experience, a homegrown player and won't care if he plays 35 minutes total during the whole season...

That is if Pinsoglio actually leaves, so far it's only rumours...

Spot on.

Looking at previous seasons under allegri when he had the fab 4 in midfield that created a lot of goals but they also scored a lot of goals. This has been our issue over the past few seasons also...once pirlo vidal and pogba left..we had limited goals from midfield in comparison.

Ronaldo's 100 goals have been handy especially when other forwards have been injured but more so because the current crop of midifleders haven't contributed enough in this area.

I would happily replace Ronaldo's 35 odd goals per season by sharing these across the like of dybala and morata for example...but the key moving forward is to share the load more in terms of goals.

Would be a fairytale like swap for both United and us to see ronaldo and pogba return. But again pogbas wage is something to think to about. Plus united want cash on top of the swap. I wouldn't mind if van de beek was looked at as well...younger and could imagine allegri developing him into star midfielder.

Ronaldo and rabiot for pogba and Van de beek...some cash may be involved...add locatelki in the mix and we have potential for a very good midfield.

It's truly mind boggling how many on here do not understand the basic principles of calcio and important a midfield with pass facilitation and first line of defense capabilities is for a team

Adding pogba locatelli van de beek to the midfield group of Arthur mckennie bentancur and fagioli is a much better mix than we have now. Allegri may actually have a chance of creating something with that group in comparison to now.

We probably won't get all but already introduction of a few plus the way allegri gets the most out of his players will change our team dynamic dramatically
