Is this a joke? Draxler despite the niggling issues was on track to being top player before the injury and is still 21. Hernanes isn't even decent as AM at this point. Too inconsistent and indecisive, bit better as CM but not all that still.
No, it's not. When Hernanes played for Lazio he was decent for 4 years. Draxler on the other hand had one wonder season in Schalke and was hyped to the sky. I was never impressed by him when I watched him play for Schalke this and last seasons. Before that I didn't even know who he is. To me he lacks vision, determination and speed. We'll see if I'm right.

If we get Hernanes on loan - it will be amazing. His only sin is his age. BTW, I rate Hernanes above all other options right now. Above Witsel, Lamela and Montolivo.

Get Lemina and be done with it. We don't need another winger and while Hernanes used to be an excellent player, he's most probably finished.

I wouldn't mind Hernanes at all. His age is not a bad thing considering we have a young forward line and midfield.

 Amazing?! Talk about hyperbolic statements. Hernanes is like a bandage when you need a fucking cast. The lack of creativity is sooooooo fucking evident. We are so painful to watch, with no one linking midfield with attack, and tons of misplaced passes putting our defense in danger at every turn.

Those two typify the definition of the word mediocre, so being an improvement over them is nothing to harp about.

Yeh lets be reasonable and watch the club go down the toilet. There are way too many parallels between what happened to Inter and Milan once they got to the end of their cycles. Milan letting go of Thiago Silva and Ibra cost them more long term than they would have saved.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Otherwise we are going down.
Yes a commentator on the game last night made the same comparison. Allegri's second season at Milan exactly like his second at Juve. Not really a fair comparison though. Milan's two best players were Silva and Ibra by a country mile. The rest of their squad was pretty much crap and old to boot. Juve's squad has a much, much better spread of quality. Plus, the problem was that Galliani and Moratti made sales to balance books. Marotta is spending money, just not on risk free players. We have young potential and players who could go either way like Khedira.

It would be amazing to get him without a transfer fee. It would be amazing to get a player that was a key player for Lazio for 4 years in the not so distant past.

When we finished two times in a row 7th place, it didn't mean that all our players sucked. Same goes for feking Inter.

 I think the Moto GP will be more interesting to follow than our team this season.

:shifty: What does that even mean?

I like the look of our logo; toning down. It seems as if the Zebra has been dieting.

So, Allegri wants to play 4-3-1-2, and was forced to use Vidal out of position there last season and rely on Pereyra as a last resort. We have known this fact since the inception of time, but with less than 24 hours remaining, we are "potentially" panic buying an Inter reject?! :howler: Talk about planning. Let's assume for a second that Draxler was our primary objective. Shouldn't we have wrapped that $#@! up earlier? Even after being $#@!ed hard in the ass by both Schalke and Wolfsburg, shouldn't there have been some form of contingency plan in case of an unexpected emergency?! Talk about impeccable planning Beppe. Let me sell Vidal cuz he wants to leave, then I will figure $#@! out. I'd expect this kind of incompetence from a pub team, not the champions of Italy and CL finalists to boot.
Allegri wasn't forced at all. He loves a strong 10 even if he's less technical, see Prince Boateng...

Would agree

But like I said , too slow to play AM.

I would welcome this signing but he needs to play deep.

Those are horrifying options to compare to.

Too slow? So I guess Mata, Silva or Isco are a no-go as well...

We shouldnt be staring at that 4-3-1-2 like mad men. We won't get another Vidal, get over it and adapt. 4-3-2-1 is the best way for us to retain some creativity up top. Cuadrado & Dybala behind a lone striker.

Isco is a very agile player.

The other two on the other hand are a level above Hernanes so their lack of speed can be compromised.Oh and Mata is definitely quicker than Hernanes.

Hernanes is the slowest of them all.

What time does the window close today?

I don't care what AM we get at this point, I just hope we get someone that can play in that role. Incredibly poor work by beppe this summer leaving it until the last day we are now forced to panic buy.

Cuadrado has the footballing IQ of a mashed potato. Lord almighty help us if he is supposed to be the "link" between our midfield and attack. We are truly fucked, if that is the case, especially in Europe. All those misplaced passes. Counter attack. Bam! Goal for the opposition :touched:

Do any of you recall our horrific 2000-2001 CL campaign, where we finished bottom in a group comprising Panathinaikos and Hamburg?! I see parallels this year.

This team is lacking character and leadership. Idk how u fix that on the last day of the Mercato. We need on of our young guys to step into that role of leader.
