We definitely lack quality in midfield though. It doesn't necessarily have to be a trequartista, but as things are they are now, there will be to much pressure on Pogba to link midfield to attack.

If we don't sign a trequartista, we are undoing all of our progress from last year in terms of raising the profile of the club. Talented attackers are crucial to international recognition. A player like Gotze, or even one with the potential of Draxler is very important for our international profile.

Quite frankly every other club in Europe looks at us and says we got weaker. Adding Gotze would make a statement, and say to any player looking to sign that the club has ambitions. Selling Vidal and replacing with an average player just says we are ok with being a fringe mega club.

15 years ago if Juventus won 4 straight Scudetto, we'd be Real Madrid caliber, but right now, after the sales, people probably still think of us on par with Dortmund.
