Witsel, what sort of player is he? What positions does he play?
Strong physically, almost never loses possession and positions himself well. The biggest problem for us would be his lack of speed. Personally I don't believe he would be what we need.

Us signing him would mean Marchisio in Vidal's position ? I like Witsel he is really a great player.

wouldnt be a bad idea to add some steel to the midfield though.
Maybe not. He'd be decent, definitely. Witsel is always decent. But I like that the majority of our midfielders are dynamic players with quick feet who can change positions between them. I feel as if Witsel would take that away from our game.

Juventus abandon Draxler for Gotze?
By Football Italia staff

Juventus have reportedly given up on signing Julian Draxler, and will instead focus on Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze.

The Bianconeri were given permission to speak with Draxler, but Schalke 04 rejected their first offer for the German international.

After speculation that a deal had to be completed before yesterday’s open day, SportMediaset is reporting that the Old Lady will not meet the €30m asking price.

The news outlet believes that the Turin giants will now rekindle their interest in Mario Gotze, who is not in Bayern Munich Coach Pep Guardiola’s plans.

The attacking midfielder has previously hinted he would be interested in a move to Turin, and SportMediaset believes he could be available for as little as €20m.

20M?? Yeah right if thats the case we should add 5M just to say deliver him in express shipment...
Usual crap from FootbalItalia.

Possible. We need to see who's available. An AM would be ideal.

Last year Pirlo wasnt at his best but he still organizes play much better than Marchisio and is still capable of amazing passes that Marchisio can only dream of
Marchisio is a better player in his position but in Pirlo`s position its stupid saying Marchisio is an upgrade
Its like saying Gotze is better than Vidal when they are both very different kind of players
If you want an attacking player than Gotze is your man
If you want a defensive/all rounder/a more compete player than Vidal is definitely the better player!
I'm not a fan of Pirlo's way of taking the pace out of the game. We failed hard with this in CL. When pressed he couldn't distribute or hold on to the ball and often lost it to the opponent. We failed at producing threats for the opponent and all in all didn't play very well when Pirlo walked around with the ball at his feet. Not to forget that the long 'genius' passing from Pirlo succeeded only 1/5 times, whereas Marchisio will offer a shorter and faster build up, leading to more chances due to the teamplay with the midfield and attack.

We both know the characteristics of Pirlo and Marchisio, i'm just arguing the new way of playing with Marchisio as regista will benefit the team more then Pirlo 2013/14 - 14/15 did. At least that's my view on this..

I don't understand the doom and gloom.

We made the QF of the CL (and won the Scudetto) with a much worse team in 2012/13. Those should be our expectations from this season anyway.
The fuck are you on about bogan? We were in the final last year. We should be winning it this year. Next year anything less than 7-0 rout will be considered a failure
