I think that you and I may have differing opinions on what World Class is
. While the first two I will agree with, although I think that Buffon wasn't World Class yet when we got him, I don't feel that the latter two were considered World Class.
Great players? Certainly. But to me, World Class is those once every 10 years type of players that you see come across our lives. Ones that the overwhelming majority are in agreement with their class.
But I think that you get what I was trying to say. Juve develop those types of players rather than out and out buying them. It's been their way for decades.

For me it surely means being of the class of the world's best. That obviously changes from generation to generation.
