I think that you and I may have differing opinions on what World Class is :D. While the first two I will agree with, although I think that Buffon wasn't World Class yet when we got him, I don't feel that the latter two were considered World Class.

Great players? Certainly. But to me, World Class is those once every 10 years type of players that you see come across our lives. Ones that the overwhelming majority are in agreement with their class.

But I think that you get what I was trying to say. Juve develop those types of players rather than out and out buying them. It's been their way for decades.
That definition isn't a new debate :D

For me it surely means being of the class of the world's best. That obviously changes from generation to generation.

we sold the best destroyer or box to box mid of the or arguably the past 15 years if not ever, and have not signed one convincing player in return.

the laughter is rich coming from someone who thinks players saying nice things trumps wages
This comment doesn't make sense... I didn't mention wages, Loin, you silly twisted boy.

I said having a good relationship with players, and allowing them a say in their futures, leading to Juventus having an excellent reputation as a club that treats its players well, is worth far more than getting an extra 5 mil in transfer fees, here and there.

I think Vieira was definitely in that world class category when he came to us. He was probably the best DM in the world at that point.

Nah we never sold our stars like Baggio, Zidane, Vialli, Ravanelli etc. We were a true top club who kept every play we owned forever and ever and ever.
We denied Baggio an opportunity to play in the CL by shipping him off to Milan. We gambled on Del Piero, and the gamble paid off. I don't recall Baggio asking to leave.

Vialli had just won everything there was to win with us, and he needed a new challenge. He wasn't getting any younger, and we accepted his request for departure.

Ravanelli was never really a top player; a solid, dependable guy, but I can't group him with those names you listed, and can't really classify him as a star.

As for Zidane, he left after shattering the world record for a transfer fee (at the time), and we got 3 legendary players as a result of that sale.

I like that whenever someone brings the fact that we could've used the money from buying somoene like Zaza for another player, some members installements, so let me get this straight, what's the diffrence between paying 18mil for Zaza, 21 mil for Mandzukich and 30 mil for Draxler in 3 installements and paying just for example's sake 69 mil for Isco/Cavani in 3 installements ?

From my limited understanding we would be paying the same amount each year ??
