Seeing teams not willing to sell players and Marotta asking around so fast means we didn't see this coming so he wasn't put on sale but he asked to leave...
ehrmm no, we could have asked Bayern to give us time to look for a replacement or told them they waited too long and our pre-season is about to start already, plus every club and their grandmother would happily overprice their player since they know we have 40m so they can GTFO, simple really

lol, we are actually getting worse this year. Joining the team are Dybala plus a bunch of irrelevant and or injured players, and we are losing three world class players. I'm losing faith in Marotta, like, wtf. Selling Vidal for peanuts. wft.

Mandzukic irrelevant? Khedira may have injury problems but is a regular in the German NT and was a starter when healthy at Real. Rugani is one of the top young Italian CBs. Neto is depth. Pirlo leaving was gonna happen and he was becoming a liability. Tevez always wanted to return home and, if history is anything to go by, you don't want an upset Tevez in the team. Vidal leaving hurts but we are loaded in CM (Khedira, Pogba, Marchisio, Pereyra, Sturaro, Asamoah, Padoin) regardless and, depending how it is spent, could bring a different tactical set-up with a true quality #10. Remember how we were fucked when Conte left??

Mandzu is an ok to good player, nothing more. Neto will only ever see the pitch in Coppa Italia, so he's an irrelevant signing. Khedira is a good player but will never ever provide the same quality either Pirlo or Vidal was providing. Look at our midfield now, two of our stars left, it's almost pedestrian now, without Pogba and Marchisio, it'd be shit. Sturaro? Pereyra? Asamoah? Good players at the most, nothing special. And Zaza, oh god, he's the most useless transfer of this year. We are weaker this year almost in every department.

Juventus will go to sign Oscar after selling Vidal. Isco is the alternative target. [Laudisa]

The ONLY way the Vidal sale makes sense.only then I'll believe that the sale was a technical decision from us.

Isco alternative for Oscar :wallbang:

Juve's dream is Goetze but negotiations for Vidal & Goetze will be entirely separate, #GdS add that the player is at odds with Guardiola.

Marotta already contacted Porto last night for LB Alex Sandro: a deal can be closed for ~15m. It would also move Asamoah back to CM. #GdS

Mandzu scores goals and works his ass off, good experienced striker for us to go with Dybala+Morata. Good midfielders to compliment Claudio and Pogba makes for a damn good midfield. We brought down our average age significantly and a lot of these young players show great promise and have already showed they can perform. There is still plenty of time left in the transfer window as well so you cannot assess our squad yet. Surely we will target a top #10 now which will change our team shape a bit, but that was needed with Pirlo leaving.

Ok, I'll chill. The team is still weaker this year and our midfield, our best department, got a whole lot worse. I can't get annoyed at this $#@!ty deal?
We'll get 40 mil from Vidal. Llorente and Isla will bring also 10/15 +10/15 mil. We could end up with 70 mil euro for transfers and we have a month and a half to use them. This is an exciting perspective, right?

Mandzu is a good striker, but he's not a game changer, or will he provide anything extra to our quality. He's an ok addition, I'm pleased with him.

Look at the rest though. Pereira is just a decent Vidal imitation. Sturaro is a watered down version of Gatuso and Asamoah has never been anything special, same with Khedira. What's the point of a younger midfield if it's not as good as the previous one? Other than Pogba and Marchisio, who's talented in that midfield? We used to have an embarrassment of riches there, now it's Pogba, Marchisio and some filler.

If this changes and Marotta brings in some world class midfielder, then that's another situation. But as of now, how can anyone be satisfied by this midfield?

Marchisio+Pogba+X (Khedira, Asamoah, Pereyra, Sturaro) is still one of the better midfields in all of Europe...selling Vidal now is surely a measure to bring in someone WC with creativity. I'm satisfied with our CMs at this point, but still recognize Beppe has work to do if we want to compete deep into CL again. If we bring in Alex Sandro and Isco/Oscar you still wouldn't like our summer business?

Well Pirlo at 37 will not be what Pirlo at 32 was so Khedira is a good player to bring in and move Marchisio to Pirlo's spot. Mandzukic is a much better player than Llorente and while Dybala is not at the level of Tevez but has the potential to be great and is already a good player. Rugani is better than Ogbonna already and will probably become our best defender in a few years and Neto is a good replacement for Storari. If anything we more or less stayed the same so far imo. Losing Vidal hurts but I dont think we will lose too much in terms of our starting 11 with Khedira and the return to fitness and center midfield of Asamoah.

I felt our team is weaker prior Vidal sale, but i wouldn't have swapped Vidal for an AM and a LB. I rather have him here especially now where he is at his best
