I have a feeling that PedroFlu might like this Alex Sandro guy.

He is truly a fantastic modern LB though, we would be incredibly lucky if we could sign him in this current market where quality is scarce or extremely overpriced. My two ideal LBs outside of top teams which we have a prayer of chance to sign, is him, and the younger Gaya (and this one will probably stay within Spain).

Is it really? We have 2 capable left backs and our real need is a creative midfielder. I can't see Beppe splashing 25m on a 3rd LB when that could go to our AM signing

We have one LB who is 35 yrs old, Asa is a midfielder and it's a waste to let him as a LB. He's decent, but not very good attacking.

It's not a pressing need, definitely, but unless there's a great AM waiting for us at 25M (there isn't), this is a very good opportunity. Marotta already said we're not signing big anymore this summer, unless an opportunity comes through.

I think he's more than decent offensively. And well, defensively, you can't find much better around. To find a fullback as good as Asamoah is defensively, and great in attack, is rare. So unless this Porto dude is prime Zambrotta, it would be a waste to sign him, imo.

This is Evra's last season. The guy will be 35 years old next year. Buying someone like Alex Sandro is for the same reason we bought Morata, Dybala, Coman, etc... For the future.

And what the hell is this talk about Asamoah being a LB? How many times has he played for us at that role? We're just assuming he'll do great there, truth is we don't know.
