I think we are going to go for a big signing this summer. We will have a good amount of CL money (being the only italian team left) and refrained from spending on players we were interested in but not certain of like Wesley and Shaqiri .. I'm hoping its because we are interested in another player who we want to build around like Firmino maybe. Now that we have adopted this new formation I feel we will go to add a vital player for the system.
We keep saying this every year. Firmino doesn't seem like a player would go after.

nor should we.

treqs, deep lying playmakers, pure poachers. specialist positions. these are dying breed for a reason. teams can figurre them out easily. they are great to have when u have depth and want to put something different to confuse the opponents, but as a main threat it is not consistent.

hybrid players are the way to go.

So creative winger/treq? Who's the next David Silva...Eriksen would be ideal but way too expensive. Honestly Henrikh offers that capability and is an achievable target. At least he'd offer something missing in our current team. With Berardi we get a versatile young Winger/SS for a very reasonable fee in today's market. I do agree that versatility is very important nowadays and the ability to adjust in-game, not just game to game, is huge.

given his form at man united I would not and he is already up there in age and given all his injuries, I don't see any reward
hes the same age Tevez was when we signed him

Unless firmino can play as a winger or we plan on getting a left winger we should ssay no.

I would be perfectly happy if our only signing of the summer is a good left winger (not counting players we know will come back like Rugani and berardi)
Firmino could play as a winger i think

Jackson Martinez?
porto is putting a big price on him €35 million! And the way Martinez said he's leaving while still with a contract till 2017 is a mystical thing, as I don't think it's that easy to find a club when you're at porto and they slam a massive price tag and can manipulate with everyone

Raiola: 'Juve buy these players!'
By Football Italia staff

Mino Raiola gave Juventus a shopping list to win the Champions League, including Romelu Lukaku and Ricardo Kishna.

The agent of players including Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke to Tuttosport, giving the Bianconeri advice.

“In order to win the Champions League, Juve should keep Pogba, then sign Kishna from Ajax, Lukaku from Everton and Jonathas from Elche.

“In defence they ought to buy Rodrigo Ely from Avellino. He is the Pogba of defenders and is liked by half the football world, including Juve.

“Kishna would be a fantastic signing, as he’s a mixture of Cristiano Ronaldo, Angel Di Maria and Robin van Persie. We’ll see what Ajax think.”

Kishna only recently turned 20 and came up through the Ajax youth academy, able to play left or right wing.

Lukaku is a 21-year-old Everton striker and Belgium international who has 15 goals in 38 competitive club games this season.

As for Jonathas, the Brazilian centre-forward at Elche is no stranger to Italy, as he is on loan from Pescara after spells at Brescia, Torino and Latina.

The 26-year-old has nine goals and five assists in 23 Liga games this season.

Meanwhile, Raiola also confirmed reports Juve had tried to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund.

“It’s true, they wanted him in January, but Borussia said he was not for sale. They might make another attempt in June.

“I’d see Mkhitaryan doing very well in the same team as Pogba.”

So what do you think about all those players? especially the Ajax kid which I have never heard of

I think we should splash the cash if we sell Pogba.

Verratti - CM, Replace Pirlo.
De sciglio - LB, replace Evra.
Manolas - CB, replace Ogbonna/Barzagli.
Zappacosta/Darmian - RB, replace Lichty.
Dybala/Berardi CF/RWF, to play 3 up front.
Martinez/Lukaku/Zaza CF, Replace Llorente.

Best scenario 4-3-3:

Tevez. Martinez. Dybala
Asamoah. Verratti. Vidal
De Sciglio. Chiellini. Manolas. Zappacosta
Buffon.

Mix of young, experiened and hungry players with pace and skill.

Falcao makes a hell lot more, the loan would cost a lot and the risk of another injury is high. Not worth the risk

Tevez was earning a lot too, he took a paycut here ;) i know we cant afford Falcaos current wages, but if we were the only ones interested, and if he is willing to come here, then he surely realizes that he cant have the wages he is used to. hes not stupid (i hope) and we already were negotiating with him last summer so he knows what to expect. we'll see if he even will be available, if yes i would definitely take him on loan. also, i dont think a loan would cost that much, he is having a poor season and Monaco doesent want to keep him i think, and he probably would rather play elsewhere too. id also take the risk with the injury because now hes playing quite often adn the injury seems to be past him. there is a chance of him reinjuring himself but thats the risk with every player out there
