I agree. If we're going to get a guy, get a player who will improve the profile of the club. The transfer fee needs to have an ROI in terms of growing the club's reputation. A player like James/Hazard would do that, a player like Oscar/Isco may if they improve enough.
Getting these middling players will not help. I think this team needs one true elite attacker. While players like Pogba/Vidal are amazing, attackers sell jerseys, and I think getting that 1 #10 will be very good for the club's profile.
If you have to spend 70 million Euro, do it if it is for the right player. I mean would I spend 70 million Euro on Luis Suarez, of course. He'll sell jerseys and improve performance. Just make sure if the outlay is that dramatic, you're certain about the player - no Diego BS.

but one can dream. If we're really fortunate Vadala (if that deal is ever completed) will be that player. Maybe Vadala and Dybala can terrorize serie a together. Other than that, it is tough. Attackers are the most expensive players and unfortunately, we've always missed the key opportunities to buy these players.
