Lets hope we will get some cash from sales.
I had forgotten about Isla, but can we squeeze 7 m out of him? There are certainly players in our squad that have quality. so :beppe: show us you can sell!

all these rumors of our players being targets for other clubs is worrying me.
so far i've seen :
Tevez to Boca, PSG, Atletico, now Liverpool
Vidal to Arsenal, Real
Morata back to Real
Pogba to Barca
Pirlo to MLS or Australia
Bonucci to Real

Thats the core of our team right there... all those cannot be real can they?
They are real rumours.

I feel like we'll sign a RB only once Isla is sold

It looks like its behind the pecking order in our priorities list.
We're very likely to not be looking for a RB. That's almost a given. Darmian, the obvious choice, is going to Bayern for 16M + 5M or something, there are no reports of us bidding for him.

Also Licht renewed not long ago and Caceres is due to renew these days. We're definitely not renewing him only to sell him right after. So we're settled for Licht + Caceres also this year.

Only possibility is signing a LB (reports on Baba) but I also find that highly unlikely. Asamoah will be deployed as a full time LB and fight Evra for the starting position.

Actually Asamoah + Licht, if Licht recovers his form of 1 or 2 years ago, is a pretty good fullback line. But then we'll need more creativity / width with AM + SS upfront.

we are focusing hard on mid and attack this year.

About Isla, I still have some hope he could be a decent RB. His problem is clearly choking at playing for a big time club like Juventus. But he's still fairly young and has the required athletic abilities.

Anyway I don't see him ever having another shot at Juventus, we're pretty set at RB from Marotta/Paratici point of view.

Now, signing an AM will be extremely hard.

There are few good ones in the world right now.

De Bruyne is clearly staying at Wolfsburg and will leave for a 50M + transfer.

Oscar isn't great, but his cost is also 50M + and Mourinho is not giving him up.

Coutinho is also out of reach. The same for Eriksen. They are only leaving for 40M +.

Vazques is not good enough and after Dybala Palermo will ask for too much.

Lyon is a tough negotiating team and they will probably keep Fekhir for one more year. After that he'll leave for EPL for 40M +. Probably out of reach as well.

Sneijder is washed up.

Callhanoglu or whatever his name is, who is a German who plays in Germany and probably won't leave for Serie A.

This leaves us with the Firmino option. He plays in Germany for a long time in a medium club, probably would like to get out of there. He's from Brazil so probably would be willing to go to Juve.

So the only good and realistic opition I see is Firmino for 25/30M. And I'm not really sure how good this guy is.

It seems Allegri could try to deploy Berardi as an AM.

Actually I have no idea if he can do it. Haven't watched enough and his experience at Sassuolo is too limited to know more about him. It's been 3 years playing in the exact same position, right forward, doing exactly the same stuff.

But the idea of signing him, letting him play in the preseason and testing him as an AM before deciding what to do with him looks good. Fortunately Allegri likes him and seems to be open to this idea.

Firmino is top class and like I predicted it looks like no big clubs are going for him this summer. Our best shot.
What's his playing style? Like Kaka or something? Is he smart enough to destroy bus placing defenses in Serie A? He looks more like a counter attacking player to me, some version of Pastore/Kaka, but I haven't really seen him play.

Oh also Pastore is too expensive, just renewed, PSG won't sell, he won't want to leave, and he's not good enough.

So it leaves us with basically Firmino or an experiment like Lamela or Berardi.

Why with our midfield being in the state it is, would we need an AM other than Berardi? We have all the midfielders/attacking players we need. I'd much rather we buy defenders from now on.

Giving up Ogbonna+Isla+cash for Darmian would be a good exchange to begin with. We should be looking into the available players, Murru, Vrsaljko, Kurzawa, things like that.

We have 1 AM, Pereyra.

Berardi is absolutely not in any way, shape or form a playmaking AM. Maybe you could use him there and get away with it, if your objective was to qualify for the EL on occasion.

How is it odd that we're not being linked with a RB ? It's not in any case... We have Lichtsteiner and Caceres who have just extended, so we're not thinking about replacing them... And then even Padoin can fill in.

It's at the leftback position where we need new blood. Evra did well but Asamoah is a huge question mark in a 4-men backline...
