Weird enough there is a group of restaurants in Toronto owned by a family from Puglia called Terroni. I always thought it was strange, considering its derogatory.


Then again, my uncle coached a girl's soccer team when he was going to school at UNC (North Carolina) in the 80s. If you've every been there, there are few people with Italian roots there today. Back in the 1980s - I can't even imagine. Well he named his team "gli stronzi" and safe to say, nobody suspected anything.
