Reports are emerging that Juventus are on the verge of completing a deal for Zenit St Petersburg’s Axel Witsel.

The Bianconeri have been said to have been tracking the player for some time, with a view to reinforcing their midfield for next season.

Now SportMediaset reports that a deal is all but done, with the player having agreed the move, and the Old Lady negotiating with his club.

The news outlet believes that Zenit will ask for around €18m for the Belgian, but expects the deal to go through this summer.

Witsel has five goals in 30 games across all competitions this season, including one against Benfica in the Champions League.
Nowhere it says we reached a deal.Typical Italian reports.

Anyway if we're serious about Witsel,i think he'll be brought in for the TQ position rather than a replacement for one of our starting mids.Thats the feeling i get.

Even if he's got a certain natural flair, I think his play can be very boring at times. I mean in a national team with Hazard and De Bruyne, Witsel is not really the kind of guy you get all excited about.

And we're Juventus. We need a fantasista that excites.
