thats the thing, if we do drastic changes, we may not win anything next season. but if we dont do these changes, we still want win anything. its a no win situation. this is why if we buy young stars, let them play next season and gel etc...then the season after that we will be great again.

dont know about you people, but i'll give up another season of not winning anything to form a side which will be good enough to win the scudetto multiple times and maybe even win the CL within the next few seasons.

does it not make sense to have mexes, ferrari, trabelsi, van der vaart, gilardino, pedretti, kapo...next season and not win anything, OR, keep the current stars who are old and offer us maybe 2 more seasons and not win anything again next season??

i know which option i would go for.
i agree adrian.another winless season would be a small price to pay for another team of the mid 90s calibre.and imo one season is all it needs.and for those of you who are worried that they will take too long, have you ever wondered if they could just step into the team and do wonders in their first season?

not impossible imo.

Common.....I agreed with you in almost everything but thats enough....
Boy has a point. Do you think we can compete with best clubs in the world with Gassbaroni,Brighi,Ferarri? Take a look at Milan....they bought 4 WC players(Nesta & Seedorf & Rui & Inzaghi(ok,joke :D) )combined with discovered players like Pirlo & Dida and they are miles in front of us.

Do you want to win something or be pleased with 3-4 position in SerieA and have 2-5 youngsters in the team that are "considered" as hot-prospect?

I like Emerson and Samuel cuz you have to admire their skillz.....they would be a great improvements to anybody that is here now(and to anybody that will come) and with them we would be a serious threat to Scudetto race....not a object of laughing(Legero & Appiah matter).
It's not that Emerson and Samuel are bad players, it's just that they are two of the three core players for our most hated rival. I don't like the way that Roma plays, I don't like their players, and I don't want to see them in Juve. In the same way I would hate to see any Juve players go to Roma. Besides, there are others players at those positions who are younger and just as good.

conte and ferrara should end their carrers with juve ' they r great ' '

Why urgently sell a bunch of squad players who will fetch minimal fees, and cost much more to replace?

Gosh....I always assumed(for the last 20 years) that Milan is our biggest rival......IMO....Roma is too small(said for franchise history) team to be a main rival. Totti is a core of Roma.
And who is younger and just as good as them? Vieira,Rio,Lucio?
(do not bother to mention some Mexes,Ferraris,Blasis,Marescas or such...)

I think that we will see, over the next 2 years, possibly 6 new starters on this team. I can't see them making a major overhaul in one year, that is a very expensive proposition. However, this team does need to have an infusion of youth, whether they are already proven or have the potential. The recent acquisitions that this team has obtained in the past few years is, to me, a little disturbing for the fact that nearly everyone they acquire is already in their late 20's and therefore that shortens your window of opportunity to be something special over a long term basis.

Please, Juve, no one over the age of 26 please. A lot of us want to see a team that can be built for the long haul, not shorts bursts of greatness.

Wow. I thought Roma actually played good football this season. oh well, tastes differ.

So I'm assuming the reason why you don't want Samuel in here is due to personal reasons, then? But he is world class, no?

actually, when I think of it, I can even (sadly) say this: I want Nedved to go IF Chelsea offers enough...

Out:
Trez,Thuram, Montero, Iuliano, (Nedved)

In:
Gilardino, Trabelsi, Ferrari, Mexes, Kapo, (Rosicky or VDV) and Cavenaghi, who would go on loan to Parma...

Indeed, Milan is our biggest rival, but I never referred to Roma as our biggest rival. Roma is our most hated rival for reasons that I can't explain, but it makes sense to me...

As for Milan, they are our biggest rival because they are the second winningest team in Italy, but there is little animosity between the clubs or supporters.

Isnt Inter supposed to be our biggest rival?

Anyway I would love to see Samuel and Emerson because they are brilliant players regardless of which team they play for. And after all, they dont get into my nerves like Totti, and Cassano. :D.

Anyway, I agree with Ian, that as good as Samuel and Emerson are, there are at the peak of their careers and there is only downhill from here.
Furthermore, their wage and transfer fees would be quite huge.

Mexes, Gilardinho, Ferrari, Van der Vaart, working with current youth stars would be fine with me.

As for old guards, I like to see majority of them to leave, meaning Iluliano, Montero, Pessetto, should definetely not be wearing our shirt no matter what. They are eye-sores, and totally unnecessary to the team, waste wages I reckon. And we should try to suppliment our depth by bringing up some young talents and mixing them with `right` veterans such as Ferrara, Conte.

Hey, Pessotto isnt that bad actually (i mean it), he has a lovely caracteristic touch by pushing the ball a meter in front of him every time he get the ball and then run up the flanks. But of course he is old, but still a usefull player to have in the squad.

i agree with delpiero10, pessotto is still good for us and shouldn't be sold for that 1m he'd fetch.he's better than montero or iuliano,is experienced and crosses and defends well.

I think that guys like Pessotto, Iuliano and Ferrara will never be sold. They are old, they don't get skyrocketing salaries and they are available for games. Most importantly, they have been with the club for so long... they should retire at Torino.

As for the thread topic... I don't think it should be a "clear-out". For the money made of Trezeguet + some additional cash I'd get Mexes, Ferrari/Bonera, Pedretti and Gilardino. That's it.

We still have a great (but getting older) squad which won 2 Italian titles and made it to the CL Final. We still have Thuram and Maresca (if they don't leave this summer), Legro, Zambrotta, Appiah, Camoranesi, Tacchinardi, Nedved, Tudor, DP, Micolli, DV and the rest.

My biggest concearn is if the new coach, whoever he is, can glue things together the way Lippi was doing it in recent years.
