Definately. Someone'd have to really hate you to take pleasure in your death. Suicide is usually a horrific experience for the family too. As I said in my first post in this thread, my classmate killed himself. What I didn't say was that he did it in his own house. His family were so upset that they couldn't live there any more.

A classmate of mine committed suicide when I was 16. He wasn't a friend of mine, but his little brother and my little brother were best friends. I have no idea what went on in the guy's head. I don't know why he did it. All I can say is that it hurt his family so much that I can't imagine ever doing the same, no matter what. But that same inability to understand why he did it means that I can't and won't judge his action.
RIP Brian.
but one thought that i have about suicide is that in greece the prists don't want to bury you.
and they say that god doesn't like it.
but also suicide is the biggest expression of human's freedom.
and i also do not believe that when someone is killing himself shows a man that is afraid to face his problems.
maybe because that was not the reason i had commited suicide....
I've already said what I can on this, so I'll summarise it now and leave this thread be.
I don't understand what could drive anyone to kill themselves, but I refuse to condem it for this very reason. I don't think I could ever inflict that much pain on my family.
Is suicide the solution? In my opinion, you can't possibly judge that until you've been to the very bottom of society. That dark pit that people end up in because what they think is important, somehow went terribly wrong.
And from that, you can conclude that there are no "nonsense-reasons" to commit suicide - people who committed suicide over something only did that because that certain issue was the biggest deal in the world to them.
Just because you can't imagine something so unimportant in your eyes being a big deal doesn't mean that a person did a stupid thing or got it all wrong by committing suicide.
Good post Erik. How do you view ritual suicide, like the Hari-kiri (sp?) of the Samurai?
Lil, I'm not going to run away! you talk about what you think, and if I feel strongly about it, I'll but in. I just said what I said because I felt I was repeating myself already.

maybe the thing YOU consider unimportant lets say,
for the person commiting the suicide is the most important thing in the world!
