Ok, we have Ale, Trez, Salas, Zalayeta, Di Vaio. And we know that Trez is probably going to be injured for a few months, so who's the guy to fill in? How would you rate the forwards?

In a two-man strike force, Del Piero is hardly under threat of losing his place as long as he stays fit. Trez, given his scoring rate, would fill the second spot. But if not Trez, would you take Salas or Di Vaio? Assuming Del Piero is fit, it would probably be between Salas and Di Vaio.

If Del Piero were injured, that would probably make Salas his replacement and Trez with Di Vaio for the role of pure striker.

Support striker:
1. Del Piero
2. Salas

Hitman:
1. Trezeguet
2. Salas
3. Di Vaio
4. Zalayeta

If Trez is not playing i will opt for them to use Di Vaio and Dp as the strike force as he is more in form than Salas is

But if Dp is the one thats unfit i would rather they played with

Trez, Salas and Di vaio with Salas and Di Vaio either side of Trez

Really Respaul do u think that di vaio - Dp will work better than Trez - Dp

Actually having thought about it i think u might be right as di vaio will work harder than trez and run more off the ball.

we could play
--------------------Di Vaio-------Trez-----------------------
-------------------------------Dp------------------------------

Does anyone think this could work

P.s I think we should sell Salas sooner rather than later and give Olivera (spelling maybe wrong) a chance because by the sounds of it he could be great.

I dont think Di Vaio is particurly selfish...
But thats still better than playing with ten men till you put the ball in the box for trez... at least di vaio makes a contribution.

Trez may well be one of the best finnishers in the game but he is also the most non contributive player i have ever seen.

Yeah, say what you want about Pippo Inzaghi but he atleast fought for every ball and ran to stress the defenders and goalkeepers. In a 50-50 situation he is way more likely to put in his all than trezegol.

With no injuries I would opt for a 3 man's attack with Di Vaio,Trezeguet and Del Piero. My reason for this is simply that DV/Treze are too good to occupy a place on the substitutes bench, while DP is the soul of Juve and is untouchable unless he is not fit. Even when he is not 100% fit,he can still be a dangerous threat.

With our current injuries,Di Vaio will partner Del Piero. If DP is out of action,Salas will partner DV.

Who should partner DP in a 2 man's strike force you ask? I have to say Di Vaio. Both DV and Treze are outstanding strikers, but the former is the best man to partner Del Piero. Marco is faster and more skilful with the ball at his feet. Maybe he is not as good as Trezeguet inside the penalty area, but if he's good enough to net 20 goals in Serie A he has to be good enough.

Without any injuries this is my starting lineup :

Buffon - Thuram,Tudor,Montero,Pessotto - Zambrotta,Tacchinardi,Davids - Nedved - Di Vaio,Del Piero

About my starting lineup,I would love to have Treze in it,but with 3 strikers and Nedved that would leave us unbalanced, that is why I opted for a 4-3-1-2.

From being afraid of having a weak attack with bearly any strikers to an attack which is hard to choose.

Salas is very capable of taking the goal scoring role when he is ready. Well, so is Di Vaio, Trez and yes, even Zalayeta.

If it were me, I would rotate the strikers every game. They are too class to be a sub for one another. Even Zalayeta.

All players fit: Di vaio - Ale

Trez injured: No Change

Di Vaio injured : Trez - Ale

Ale injured: Di Vaio - Salas
So, Trez and Di Vaio couldn't play together then?

Nah,can't work. Too risky. If we NEED goals then I would go for a 3-4-3.

Buffon - Thuram,Tudor,Montero - Zambrotta,Tacchinardi,Davids,Nedved - Di Vaio,Trezeguet,Del Piero

Is di Vaio more of a supporting striker like DP or a target man like Trez? Coz from what i've seen imo his has good dribbling ability, quite versatile, like to go deep to get the ball some times and can deliver good if not great crosses!

So i see him more like DP really, not trez.. only far more lethal maybe!

Can someone explain this 2 me?
