Wow. I didn't know this.

Instead of sentence people to die, just live them incarcerated for life. But if you do that then the "those inmates cost the state a lot of money" dilemma comes.
Obviously, it's a worse sentence. I'd lock up child rapists and murderers for life and subject them to rape themselves, but yeah, you'd have to pay someone to do it. That ain't cool.

No no. Here in Iran they use hanging for executing people and we had many cases in which the man stayed alive while being up there and they had to redo the process for more times. God, those were beyond horrible.
Exactly. Yet that's not how it should be done but rather the way corrupt and murderers roll.
Suffocation is much worse than shock, dude. You don't even go into grade 1 shock where you lose blood.
Chocking isn't the purpose of hanging but rather breaking the neck as 7 said. But in many cases out of tyranny most of the time, hanging is "fixed" to more painful and chocking the victim in this case is the most effective and disgusting way.

    Whoa.

Is hanging the only method they use over there? What would you have to commit to get that sentence?

hopefully but you crap your pants your pants in the process not that they're bothered by that anymore
And Im sure a sentenced convict would shit in his pants once he faces a group of armed assasins who just happens to be volunteers either raging for revenge or just blood-thirsty wackos.

No it's not, firing squad is also there but it depends on the court to decide which mean.

In most cases its mass murder(terror) and treason.

    :snoop:

Off topic, but don't you ever want to leave Iran?
Not in the near future, no :D

Hopefully they won't decide to execute me :p

Sad thing is that they use the same shit for every kind of murderer at any age. I remember a boy who had killed his friend in a fight at the age of 15 and they executed him in the same way.

    Ohh.

I was under the impression you were unhappy/in disagreement with a lot of stuff that's going on there and perhaps wanted to try living in the West

What if they catch you having sex out of wedlock?
In most Arabian countries nothing will happen, they don't interfere in such matters. While in others it depends on how powerful you're, and you don't need to be that connected to get away with it I can tell you that. But an ordinary man/woman will suffer but that's after a trial ofcourse.
