Ameritrade is down, I can't even gaze upon the glorious green numbers :sigh:

Peloton was down over 20% at open, looks like it's recovering a bit though.
The day of your airline stonks has come, well done! I was too much of a coward to buy the dip.

What's next? Everybody has been expecting a major crash since 2017 but it's just not coming :shifty:

Almost as if monetary policy was designed to prop up the market :shifty:

Look at this ridiculous fade from today on the last two candles. From all-time highs to back below support from the October high.

That was the pop I was waiting for on OXY. Too bad I sold earlier.
I'm thinking I'll sell tomorrow morning, their debt is insane apparently and even with this vaccine, we still have at least another year to recover. I'll be keeping my Phillips shares though. Do you exclusively do short-term trading?

I have a roth and 401K from my employer, but I do my risky short/medium-term options trades in another account where I can "afford" to lose it all.

Get into $SOLO their cars look better anyway

    %2Fhypebeast.com%2Fimage%2F2019%2F02%2Felectra-meccanica-solo-electric-three-wheeler-pricing-001.jpg

    disclaimer: don't do it
I'm going to stick it out, fuck it. Surely when the entire country is mandated to have electric cars within the next 15 years or so, there has to be some value in that, right?

 I'd be afraid to drive that.

Also, Tesla's valuation sure as hell isn't justified but it's still up there.

So it seems energy stocks are on the way up right now. My thinking is that these new rounds of lockdowns, even though they seem to be a bit less strict, will still hurt demand and therefore lower oil prices. Even with a vaccine, we still have maybe 5+ months until it is readily available, so we will still need to contend with this for at least another half a year so I'm assuming there will be another dip in the future in these share prices. Makes sense, or no?

Same. Was going to buy when it was below $10, decided against it :sergio:. Oh well, there will be other opportunities in the future.

Why must he hurt me in this way?

Nio is still doing fine for now. I bought some more calls yesterday looking for a close above $52 for next week. Technicals scream buy but has to get through this 48.50 level today.

I bought some PLTR calls earlier in the week and made a 250% gain. I definitely should have put more into the trade and now it looks like it's going again.

Was thinking about buying and holding shares, setting and forgetting, but they aren't making much money yet.

Definitely possible. But the other scenario is the market looks forward to the days where everyone has the vaccine and a huge stimulus check. We're also at the top of the huge monthly megaphone on the SP500 dating back decades that has me a little nervous, but that might not make a difference. The market is having trouble holding new all-time highs so it might continue to trend higher and sell off over time, but all of this is just conjecture.

I'll probably just buy the fucking dip.

PLTR is my ultimate long-term play for 10 years. Short-term the investor/employee stocks get unlocked on Dec 31th, so it will definitely take a dump and that's when I plan on finishing my stack. Their business model is funneling all the funds into customer acquisition which they have succeeded in. Hell..they have even acquired my local state police as a customer. Soon it will be used nationwide and then the fat checks will be coming. Last ER was really promising since only after developing the actual tools (Gotham, Foundry,...) the business becomes scalable. Some criticize Palantir's feature list and that they appear to mostly focus on the usability and simplicity but let me tell you, that's what customers want. I'm a process engineer and I tried to introduce Data Mining / Process Mining at a big corporation to optimize manufacturing/logistics. And I noticed when presenting various software packages that execs would literally ALWAYS choose the software that looked and 'felt' nicer despite having fewer infos. And now think of the military buying software for boots on the ground to use...That's the niche to enter and nobody in this space has proven a to have a better nose for these things than my boy Peter Thiel. The Great Reset is coming, wars are coming, spy state is coming. You shall have no privacy, no possessions and I am not betting against CIA funded companies when the man who wrote Patriot Act is in charge.

Definitely seems promising from a stock perspective. Future-wise, not so much.

We can consider a long position in PLTR as a hedge against the police state which we know is coming (well, already here, really).

I'm going to set a reminder for the Dec. 31st date.
