On the one hand I agree because there's no way many US states lock down again,stimulus will probably come after the election, and vaccine news (whether true or not) seems mostly promising.
But on the other hand the election is next week, and with it will certainly come more volatility. I was up like 20% on MSFT, then I finally get money to buy a few more shares last week, today happens and I'm at 0%.
A Trump win will allegedly help markets, but I think a Biden win will create a nice short term dip to buy into so I think I'm going to hold out for that.

Look at this fucking DIRTY bull trap candle on the four hour SPX. Everything seemed to be so nice today as if we bottomed and then... nope. That looks like shit.

Would really love to see a heavy sell into 3070 but that would mean a 6+% selloff in two days before the election. Possible but probably not likely. I'll be watching futures on election day just for shits and giggles, going to be a wild ride.
Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and other states are accepting mail in ballots after November 3rd so it's possible we don't know the winner for a while, which in that case would get us to 3070 for sure, IMO.

I follow a few trading gurus and one dude who is pretty good was up 170% this year. His trading strategy is using long-dated, naked call options just in the money. Since they're long-dated, meaning they expire a year out, they're far less risky than using those that expire in a week or month. He also must throw a lot of money into these trades because he closes his positions once he has a 2-5% profit, probably like 25k a trade or so. He just sent out an email that his year to date P/L is now only 50%, so he must have gotten fucked this week. 
Now I don't feel so bad after losing a lot of my gains the past couple months.

Look at this retarded close on SPX right before the weekend. Either massive short covering just minutes before close, or the PPT had to step in to save 3270. From down over a percent to positive for the day in just minutes.
