Nah Khedira isnt defensive barely, while N'Zonzi is defensive and minded mid, he covers defence hard in holding role, even if passing is his most natural attribute. While Khedira is mainly about smart tactical OFF THE BALL movement, direct defensive impact is fairly mundane with him, and for a big guy doesnt offer much physicality except for heading, while N'zonzi offers full service with his towering presence.

Reading positioning well instead of just all out tackling approach isnt a negative, someone like Maldini barely ever tackled for example, he just made sure he was in the right position and be step ahead etc.

People think all CMs are the same, lol.

Might as well throw anyone from Mascherano to N'Zonzi to Tolisso to Iniesta into that 2-man midfield.

Definitely hope we are getting this guy if the alternative is fucking Matuidi.

Ideally, I'd love us to go for Fabinho, Naby Keita, but perhaps we can get SMS from Lazio next year.

Of course it isn't negative, i actually prefer those kind of players

sucks that they will always have a mediocre whoscored rating, due to their system not rewarding intelligent movement and anticipation.

Good we dodged that bullet, get fabinho and watch zach change his tune on him and how he never wanted nzonzi in the first place
I wanted him in january,. Look it up.

All I see is he has a better success rate with tackles but commits them way less, same with take-ons. Good with his head due to his height and a decent passer. Doesn't change the fact that he tackles less and intercepts less on average, like I stated in my original post which you called a lie. That's also a very nitpicked list of statistics. I also never stated N'Zonzi is a bad player, he's good and I'd take him probs over Matuidi for example, but he is definitely not as good as Fabinho and investment wise a total crapshoot compared to him, due to age, lack of versatility, activeness with his defensive work and lack of attacking prowess, even if that's not a priority for his type of player.
I dont think fabinho is bad. He has his strenghts and age. But we need a physical DM. Nzonzi wins nearly every duel he does. Fabinho commits alot more, so he has higher absolute interceptions. But the %succes is much lower, which is why monaco is such a reckless team. Sometimes, like messi, you got to fend off the opponent. Dont attack him. Nzonzi's % take ons show how good he is at that.

Fabinho is less suited for juve, unless you have another physically good cm that can cover for him

Marchisio+fabinho would do well, as claudio backs him up.
Pjanic+nzonzi would do well

Juve is pjanic. Juve needs nzonzi.

If nzonzi was 26, all would be much more excited.

If we get Nzonzi, we can have more naturally attacking wingers instead of closet wingbacks.

Based on the statistics it makes sense if Allegri requested N'Zonzi because he believes having an aerial presence in a 2 man midfield is crucial.
Statistics tell me he's a player that wins ALOT of duels when he choses to do them, but also knows when to back off. And is a monster in the air, which i welcome.

There is also that hes such a physical beast that players sometimes chose not to attack him, which is why his totals (both attempted and won duels) are lower than the likes of N. Keita and Nainggolan for example. But its clear that WHEN hes attacked and challenged, he wins the majority of the duels

That worked out well for Sami in Serie A since the opposition wasn't as technical/good. Real Madrid and its midfield exposed him, and I'm sure Bayern would've done the same.

You just can't give that much space to WC teams/midfields.

I dont think our issue with Madrid was defensive it was not being able to break down pressure when we won it back. Any midfield not being able to hold possesion will get exposed. The Madrid defense looked quite bad in the first half. We didnt have the technical players to be able to break down their press

we probably dont have enough funds for all our targets, sowe are thinking twice about paying the release clause for him.

but fuck Siviglia seriously, we gave them Nando for free, they dont even want to reduce the price a few millions or take Lemina (a direct replacement whos much younger too)
