He was only 20 years old on this match

Such a shame for that ugly injury that kept him out for a whole season. He was developing with the speed of light. Then again, we weren't gonna talk about buying him now if he didn't get the injury. After he destroyed Liverpool and Bayern in CL that season, the most he was going to get in serie A was one season. After that EPL teams were gonna buy him for money we couldn't match.
And it would be a crime if he goes to EPL. Just check the commentaries under the video, where EPL fans think of him as "the new Lampard".

Jovetic is a good player, put not someone worthy of 30mil, hopefully fiorentina will not own us one more time in the transfer market, they made a habbit of this...

But what's more worrying is that we do not need yet another ss, as much as ee need a cf.
If we end up loaning Boriello again, only to spend that insane amount on jovetic, it could be a catastrophic move...

Who do you want for CF?

Only you can see a catastrophe here. You see, that is partly why you get so much slack here. A random "realist" would say that buying a CF would be a smarter move. But you see a catastrophe. Where do you see the catastrophe and what's the catastrophic thing that will happen exactly by adding a jem to an already excellently functioning squad?

And remember, I'm not asking you what's the negative thing that could come out from this transfer. I am asking you what is the catastrophic thing.

I have to agree with this.

At the worst case scenario, we will have to adapt on of our SS to a striker role...and that is if we are going to play with a striker like player in the formation. And even with that cons we get a bunch of quality up top, and players who know how to score like giovinco and jovetic. If we can stay with Matri, i dont see the issue really, as Matri is far from being bad.

Jovetic has all the characteristics of a modern 20 goals+ attacking midfielder. His finishing is good enough to by-pass investing on a striker. His injury record is a worry but again Jovetic is just too good to miss out on, especially when we have a budget for a top player.

If Jovetic can get 15/18 goals per season will be alright playing him as a CF, because we have many scoring threat elsewere. Vucinic should get 8 to 10 goals, the same for Giovinco. Then you have Marchisio, Vidal, Isla, Pirlo and the attackers subs all capable of scoring in the range of 5 goals.

Getting Jovetic will mean that we will play with no set striker, similar to the way Barca play with Messi as CF ( I'm not comparing Messi to Jojo btw), this system will need all the other players to step up and be scoring threats, If we could adapt to this and make it work, we'll have one of the best teams in the world.

We will not play him as a CF.
I'm only make this prediction as i think we should adopt 4-3-3 as our main formation, for the 3-5-2 it's another matter, in the 3 man attack i think Jojo should start at the middle and Vucinic at the Left, OFC they'll be alot of movement and changing of positions between the 3 attackers but i still think Jojo should be the Central forward as he's more clinical and definetely stronger and moves better without the ball than Vucinic, if he can make the transition to a Full time striker in 1, 2 years i don't have any doubt in my mind that' he'll be scoring in the range of 20 goals a season even as a lone striker.

jovetic should be able to get 12-15 goals minimum if he has a full healthy season. Vuci another 10. depending on who we keep..either quag or matri, I think they can get 8-10 aswell. If gio plays he certainly has the potential to get as many goals as he did with parma. Plus we have vidal, marchisio, pepe, isla, asamoah to score. I dont think scoring goals will be a problem if we get jovetic. The only issue would be who to start. I wouldnt mind a 3-5-2 with vuci-jojo upfront. Or even a 4-3-3 with jojo-vuci-gio
