He probably shouldnt even stay at the club next season if we get a better player than him.He deserves to be at a lower midtable club.

I don't know but I think that's the most he can accomplish at a top club like Juventus.
As for his call-up, yes he's been playing well, but he only got it because Italy lacks quality up front recently and is in sort of a transitional phase. When players like Pazzini, Rosina, Giovinco, etc. establish themselves in the future, I don't see a spot for him in the Italy NT as well.
All in all I see him staying with us for a number of years as a rotational player and that's fine by me.

No Andy, i made it look like i don't want him because he's too young, and i didn't mean that. it's certainly not that i don't want him because he's too young or not good enough. As you can see, i'm the one who's praising him the most in this topic and i really enjoy watching him. I was amazed the first time i saw him. Until i found out he's 17 (he just turned 18 now) I was like what the fuck is this pearl doing in Serbian league ?
It's all about the FIGC rules and our priorities. Jovetic is a non-EU player and buying him will stop us from buying another player from non-EU market. If we buy him now, in January, then yeah, maybe we can. Although we're losing another player we're interested in, Ivanovic, if we buy Jovetic, because we can't buy 2 non-EU.
But if it's June-August, then i believe we have other spots in our team where we need new players that are more urgent to fix than the attack. If we buy Jovetic in June, then we can forget about buying a Brasilian, Argentinian, another South American, African or ex-YU player.
We do need new defenders, at least two of them. If our board doesn't have plans to buy a non-EU player for the defense or some great non-EU midfielder, only then i think we should think about Jovetic.
If Jovetic was this good and this promising and he was a midfielder or defender, then he may have been our #1 priority, even though he's very young. But he's an attacker and non-EU and if we buy him we'll close the non-EU market for a player that we really don't need at the moment.
Or maybe we can buy him, loan to him to another serie A/serie B team and then "buy" him again from them, like we did with Mutu. That's the loophole and a way to buy one non-EU and still have the non-EU spot opened.

you never know..look. at Toni and Iaquinta, ...no one really looked at them where they are younger..then after Toni went from palermo where he was starting to get his form to fiorentina where his career sky rocketing same as Iaquinta last year at Udinese we all thought he was an average player look at him now at 28...Maybe, Palladino will have a great break through when he is 25 or 26..you never know
and what exactly are we supposed to do with them though? Sure you can have a few on the team to gel with the older players for experience, but you can't have an alot of youngstes on the team because we know that it's not a good thing, especially in a team that is expected to compete on all 3 fronts.
So we get them an then what? loan them out? won't work because we've seen time and time again how most of our loaned out players don't make it back.
I don't know. It just dosn't seem like it could work.

Partizan Belgrade have denied that young starlet Stevan Jovetić is set to sign for Juventus.
The 18-year-old striker is one of the hottest prospects in Europe and has been linked with a host of top European clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Juventus have also been associated heavily with the youngster in recent days and some sections of the Italian press have claimed that the Turin-giants have won the race to sign him.
"It is the first time I have heard about Juve being interested," Partizan general secretary Gordan Petric told Serbian daily Sport
"I really don't know who is behind it, that information did not come from me and it is not true."
Petric's comments were supported by Partizan president Tomislav Karadzic who added: "He is not for sale until the end of 2008 and that does not mean he will sign a pre-contract with anyone in the spring."
Jovetic was a founding member of the new Montenegro national team, and played in their first ever game against Hungary in 2007.
The 6ft hitman is expected to play against Italy next year as Montenegro have been drawn in the same World Cup 2010 qualifying group as the Azzurri.
