How are we like Milan snd how is Tevez on the decline? He is only 29. He has at least 3 WC years left in him. Don't be disappointed just because we have signed someone on a free. The upside here is, that they have boostered our European profile and allowed us to create an attractive project to players we are after. There will be more such opportunities for us to swoop in on before Tevez returns to Argentina, and we've hardly shot ourselves in the foot with any of these deals.
The project was already about as attractive as it could get, twice champions of Italy, new stadium, new stars (that we stumbled onto, but still) and yet the reality is we will not ever get a talented, young forward, we either don't have the funds or don't want to spend them. Simple as that, it doesn't matter how high our profile is, it's either declining players for a small fee or free ones. Like Milan. And that's depressing.

seriously imagine if the opportunity to sign tevez hadn't come up, we'd be stuck with the same old excuse for not being able to sign Jovetic and be in the same position we've been in the last 2 summers only to bring some knee jerk signing alla Bendtner at the end of it.

Our biggest fault last season was that we weren't proactive enough on the market.

I think in two seasons we can be like BM and sign 1 top player per season to improve our first XI.

In fact, if you look at Bayern's rebulding trajectory, we are pretty much exactly on the same path, only a couple years behind.
Maybe

Bayern can buy anyone within their league and improve their first team while weakening the opposition. We can never do that though.

Yeah, we were very lucky that Llorente was in the situation he was and that City was willing to let go of Tevez for that little money. Otherwise we probably would have renewed Anelka, lol.

yeah but in the end we did it big so the "ifs" dont count now.

Joveic will go to city, he will spend 2 seasons there and come here with 25-26 years and ready to rumble. Dont worry guys...we will get him someday

lol, if he succeeds that's never going to happen. Perhaps we can get Van Persie when he's 33, lol.

Foreign players generally don't want to stay in Manchester very long, not many of them anyway.
That might be the case, but if they succeed and want to leave, clubs with actual resources like Chelsea, Barca, Madrid or PSG will snap them up. We will deal with Anelkas and Bendtners for a long time if there's no bargains around.

The only reason he is not here is because of the della valle fuckers.

In 2 years he can come to his beloved Juventus after we reach a deal with city.
Im not expecting him to be super awesome there so he will not be as expensive hopefully. And by that time i hope we will be in a much better economical situation

If he wants Italy we'll 'get lucky' again.
