It would be nothing but natural if Vidal asked for the same or told the club that he would like to be transferred to a club where he could be making 7-8m / year. The entire possibility of our succes rests solely on the fact that we have players who love the club enough to turn down big money offers from foreign clubs, let's not compromise that by signing anyone on wages we can't afford to give other quality players. It would be such a Milan move, disgusting that anyone agrees with it tbh.
I don't think so, Vidal seems pretty content here and I don't think much could tempt him to leave, maybe us not winning.

I'm sure if you go back to pre-calciopoli our club would have been run more like the opposite of what you suggest, so I don't think it's only milan like.

But if you believe what you're saying then do you also say we have no business calling ourselves a top club considering that we can't afford top players? You can't go around chasing these players if you have 0 intention to sign or expect 50% discount just because.

Yeah, that's why I said we only stand a chance for Jovetic, Muriel and the likes. Reason being acceptable wages from our behalf.

Transfer fee is rather big, but with player(s) added we could seal the deal (Jovetic).

But seeing Arsenal offer 7.5mln/season for Higuain makes me laugh when I see people say we can battle it.
Pretty sure Fiorentina made it clear they only want cash.

Which is why we should stop panicking and wait for Marotta to finish hammering out the Jovetic deal, it's happening 100%.
I can't say it's 100%, but if we sign any big name it's gonna be him IMO.

Jovetic - Vucinic :tuttosport:

But still, I want to point out one more time - don't be surprised if we stick to Mirko and play him next to Llorente. IMO that's most likely the case unless we sell Mirko.

It's 100%. We've got them by the balls big time and they simply can't afford alienating Jovetic and losing Ljajic for free next summer. Of course we're signing him.

And I'd add that I would consider that a far from disasterous situtation.

Ah, so 50% of Giovinco is worth 11 mil, Matri is worth 18 mil, Osvaldo is valued at 20 mil, but Jovetic is at best 22 mil ? I feel like some people should look at the market right now more realistically. A 23-year-old with massive potential (and I'm speaking as a person who has seen enough of his matches, rather than checking the goals/assists by seasons) is gonna cost you a lot. Especially from one of your butthurt rivals with a moron for a president. 30 mil may be something we don't have right now, but I would gladly pay 20 mil+player for the natural heir of the #10. There's a reason why Conte is, according to the press, crazy about him. I think everybody who has seen him play agree with me.

They grow weaker everyday. They need Jojo gone to sign another striker.

According to reports we already offered that. I think.
Yeah I know.

But I've been reading reports for the past 5-6 years. I stopped believing 95% of those because majority is media BS and other half is clubs pretending hard to get and just trying to milk the club.

They signed Rossi, which was the first indicator for me that they would sell Jojo.

Well Man City are interested anyway, I think they wanted Isco but he might be going to RM. So he could be headed there anyway. I'm not optimistic really. For me, Higuain = 2% likely, Tevez = 20%, Jovetic = 35%

I'm gonna be disappointed if that happens.

Not because I think it's bad (far from it, I actually think that partnership would be great) but I have a badass feeling that Jovetic would be a brilliant signing and that duo would rock for many years to come. It would boost us a lot IMO. I was hoping for years for that transfer (like 5 years) and this summer looks closest for that move, so hopefully it goes through somehow.

I just can't see them bidding. I don't think a club with so much money would want to buy Jovetic at this point.

I wouldn't be surprised if they 'only' buy Cavani now. They have Aguero and they have Silva already, I just can't see them wanting Jovetic. No way.

Don't forget Viola are playing in Europe next season and couple of good games there could increase his price and number of suitors. He could be out of our reach then.
