What next level is Jovetic suppose to bring us to? How about him taking himself to the next level by playing better and making sure he's worth his price and the hype?

For example, Jovetic scored 4 goals after the new year and 2 assists, that is it! He had a decent start to the season but then actually had a bad season really. At this point some people are still stuck in 2009 when a young 20 year old Jovetic scored 2 goals against Liverpool.

Maybe.

But maybe Jovetic just isn't the exceptional talent that he was at 18/19? He wasn't even Fiorentina's 'top player' over the season, frankly I think Cuadrado and Ljajic had on par or maybe even a better season.
During Partizan days and during his stay at Viola he showed his talent and what he can do. Cuardado is a great player. On the other hand people only focus on the last season apparently, especially when it comes to this 'poor Jovetic' and 'very good Ljajic'. Ljajic was good, but his previous seasons were very poor and not many people care to mention that.

Ljajic is 2 years younger than Jovetic.

They are both not good enough imo. Neither of them will increase our quality much, maybe Jovetic will be a bit more consistent and score a few moe goals than Vucinic but that's it.

We need a true top player.

He also seem to lack motivation completely, it is quite clear he is better than Ljajic though.
He needs to move to a bigger club in order to continue his development. Still fairly young and with Conte he could reach new heights and perfect his game even more.

Cool

But wouldn't you say that if someone unproven like Jovetic would come here for a huge fee, he at least needed to be an undoubted 'player of the season' at Viola to even improve us and warrant his fee?

It seems like Jovetic's hype lives on the distant past, CL matches and Partizan from a long time ago.

You only talk about numbers. I bet you didn't see any matches of him playing besides the ones against Juventus.

You call Jovetic unproven?

Judging by the market prices these days I'd say no.

Ljajic is 2 years younger than Jovetic.
He also had 3 poor seasons.

I'm not saying he's not good enough but apparently people (you) only take last season into account.

Apparently we stand no chance to sign Higuain, Tevez, Aguero and others. Who do you suggest?

One more thing. Considering you love numbers take a look at this pic:

Majority of the forum (not me) are saying Marchisio was one of the best players for us this season. When you look at that pic you'd see he didn't score/assist in the first 6 rounds, and after he didn't score/assist for 11 rounds. Yes, I know he's not a SS, yeah. Point being - it's about performances as well, not just numbers.

It's only a fact that you weren't watching Fiorentina, but only matches against Juventus.

Also, think again before posting goals. Remember our own Del Piero was scoring 12-15 goals in majority of his seasons.

Please, stop making silly posts.
