I would, mainly cuz I am resigned to losing Isla and I prefer to lose him to Fiorentina than to lose him to Inter. Also it would be nice to finally get a top transfer target and a player for our attack who has the potential to be an elite player instead of a guy who is just pretty good when in top form.
I really rate Isla though and am a firm believer that footballers can not produce the first year after knee surgery, so i think if Isla stayed here he would be in incredible form in the coming season. But this is also the case with Jovetic who had a bad year for the exact same reason. If Ronaldo, Del Piero and Quag (lol) had bad substandard seasons after knee ligament surgery then we should give Isla and Jovetic a by. We need Jovetic more then we need Isla though .. ideally I would just Include Giovinco and 20 million. Keep Isla and get Jojo.
Also If we got Nani we could use Isla in the trident on the right if we wanted to... Nani--Llorente--Isla or try ... Nani---Jovetic---Isla with Llorente in front of them .. then Vidal and Pogba in front of the defense in a 4231

Well Montella is pretty creative and Isla is versatile enough to play in the defense, wing, attack and central mid and do it pretty well when he is on top form.
Also Isla is a player who can be pretty valuable. Maybe they are looking at it from a monetary perspective. 20 million and Isla might seem fair given the season he is coming off. But if he has an amazingly good year they could have a player worth over 20 million. He defn wont have a worse year if he is a starter and can play his way into some form. But Quag for example is not going to be worth more then he is now.

It might be smarter to keep Isla and offer Matri to Milan for a big discount just to block them from spending their money on Tevez. Instead of 15 million asking for Matri we could ask 10 and sign Tevez with the money.

I dont particularly have anything against Giovinco, I just think Jovetic is a better player and would do a lot more for our attack. Gio is good when on his best form but he can be very average at times. Also I think Jovetic and Isla at Juventus this season would have huge bounce back years .. Giovinco will do about what he did last year if he gets playing time given we are trying very hard to sign someone to put him on the bench. Also I think Fiorentina might like the thought of signing Giovinco as they get a good creative forward to replace the one they are losing and a lot of cash.
Meanwhile we would not handicap our self by having too many strikers sitting on the bench and being moody, as we know Giovinco can get when he does not play.
