Sanchez best season in Serie A for Udinese was 12 goals, 6 assists.

He was purchased by Barcelona for 28M (+11M bonuses).

In today's market you have to pay big. Jovetic for 15-25M + a player (depending on who it is) is reasonable price.

There it is, the Giovinco line. Giovinco is nothing more than a reserve to us. I'm not overrating him and he has not played as well as I though he would. Also Giovinco is a personal favorite and I'm more a fan because of sentimental values.

I'm sorry Sergio, but if Higauin's monster goal tally isn't enough for you and you still want Jovetic here ahead of Higauin then I don't know if there is anything else to discuss. Higauin's goal record is so fuckin' impressive and he's up there with the best. He's not even just a good goalscorer, the man is a fuckin' monster. Higauin has scored 128 goals in all competitions over the last 5 seasons and you still prefer Jovetic?
Do you not understand we signed Llorente on 4.5M wages? He is not going to sit on the bench for Higuain.

The reason why I would want Jovetic more than Higuain is this. WOuld Higuain be steeping into a better squad than what he left behind for the past few season in Real Madrid? Player for Player, I would say that he could be taking a step down, whereas Jovetic would be surrounded by talent far more impressive than what he is leaving behind in Fiorentina. My fear is that Higuain may not improve over what he has done for Real Madrid, especially coming to what could be perceived as an inferior squad. Jovetic, on the other hand, has, in my opinion, a higher ceiling than Higuain.

Its not an indictment on Higuain, its just my belief that Jovetic has a higher ceiling.

And let's not take the economic impact out of the equation. Juve know this. They know that forwards are what sell the jerseys. Not midfielders, certainly not Goalkeepers. They, in my estiamtion, are not only looking for their future star, but their future symbol, and it is my assumption that they feel that Jovetic is the player who will do this for them.

Exactly. Sometimes you're paying for the obvious talent, not just the numbers.

Jovetic + Coentrao would seriously be a wow mercato.
one attacker is more than enough.spend the rest of the budget on coentrao if he is made available.

Do you not understand the difference between Llorente and Higuain?
I'm skeptical if Higuain and Llorente could play alongside each other. And I don't know if our team has enough creativity to carry two CFs upfront.

Jovetic fits our team like a glove.

Higuain is a gamble considering Pirlo would be our only creative outlet (given Giovinco and Vucinic are on the bench), and our wingbacks are not offensively world class.

You have to understand common sense.

It's not about saying Llorente is better. It's about simple math. We're gonna pay a lot (huge wages) for Llorente and there's a big chance he's the finisher we looked for.

Lets stop dreaming.

He will most likely go to Chelsea. There's no way to sign that guy.

I think you're nitpicking a bit. You remember what people used to tell me about Giovinco last year when I was trying to convince people about him? They told me that he's coming off a team where he was the man, everything went through him and he was the focal point and now he's joining a team where he won't be. The same applies to Jovetic (Pastore and Sanchez got to experience the same thing as Gio).

Higuain is probably joining a weaker side but at the same time he's a natural born scorer. The man was never carrying Real on his shoulders and he won't be asked to carry Juve on his shoulders. We got Pirlo, Vidal and the team chemistry Conte has built for that. What Higauin will do is score goals. He will be our version of Milito, Trezeguet, Lewandowski, van Persie and all those other guys who seem to always find a way to score more than 20 goals a season.

And even though he's not playing for Real Madrid he will still be playing for the most dominant team in Italy and he will actually start every damn game unlike now where he gets to spend so much time on the bench.

I don't think I am nitpicking, but that is where you and I will disagree. Hopefully there is still that same level of respect and admiration that we have always had for each other despite our polarizing views on this.

I'm not going to deny that I am biased about Jovetic, as I have been since he was 18 years old. But if there is one thing that anyone here knows about me, is that If I am strong in my convictions about a player or an ideal, I will stick by it. And I will only change that train of thought if I have seen enough evidence to the contrary. And I haven't seen it with Jovetic. My eyes just tell me that he could be capable of such wonderful moments for this club for the next 8 years, and it has admittedly been a dream of mine ever since the CL 4 years ago to see him in a Juve uniform.

I wouldn't pay 30 million for him though. I never said I would. And the beauty is that Juve won't HAVE to. Not now. Now that Jovetic has intimated more than once of his desire to leave. This was the moment that I was waiting for.

They've already publicly showed interest in Higuain so this obviously isn't really an issue. Also you could easily use Llorente as a target man next to Higuain.

I just don't understand how to justify signing Jovetic ahead of Higuain when the possibility is there. I would have had no problems with it if the SS we're talking about was Suarez or Aguero.. but Jovetic?

We need somebody like Mirko who can connect midfield and attack (no, we've seen that not only Pirlo is needed for that). Neither Llorente nor Higuain are capable of doing so.

So tell me, which SS would you sign at this point? Please tell me. You should be aware that Suarez and Aguero are not even close to possible, so please tell me who you're having in your mind.

I don't have a SS on my mind, I have Higuain on my mind who is a goal machine.

He has the whole pre-season to prove that he deserves to start.
Yes. He deserves nothing for wasting a year at Bilbao. If anybody should have advantage for the starting spot next season it is Vucinic because he is a proven commodity. And Vucinic-Jovetic can ofcourse play together as they do very well for Montenegro. It's a real possibiltiy that this will be our starting partnership next season. Conte didn't have any problems playing Vucinic - Giovinco for most of the season so he doesn't have a problem with not playing a striker.
