I believe they want him to sign a new contract that would include an anti Juve clause. I don't believe there is one at the moment.

We have to just buy him for €30m.
Our aim is to be breakeven of better next season.
This summer, with isla, asamoah, peluso etc, we are at 22.4 mil spend allready

Unless we make CL semi finals, and are break even a year ahead of schedule (given we dont buy in januari), we wont spend big.

If we do, and we sell one or two from quag/matri, perhaps then but unlikely

Of course they'd sell him to us, they are just a small club. And we didn't offer anything close to 30mln, more like 10mln + Matri.

For 30mln not only they'd sell Jovetic to us but they'd bend over.

And bend over they shall.

I suppose, legally, they could add that half their transfer fee be paid in gum drop installments and 10 tacos per appearance.

It's similar to a full or partial no trade clause where the player can dictate where he can be sent to. However, that is usually at the behest of the player in contract negotiations. A club mandated clause like this would be the first I've ever heard of it.

That's what I thought too. I'd hate to think they would hold a player ransom by eliminating a good club for his career. I really don't think Fiorentina would do that, despite them being stubborn. If the release fee clause was met, I think they would sign on the dotted line.

“I consider Jovetic to be one of the best players in Serie A, but right now he is not playing at his level. I am no longer in Florence, so I cannot say for sure what the problem is. It’s evident he is suffering because of something and if things don’t change I think he’ll leave at the end of the season.

“Jovetic is a sensitive guy and it’s fundamental you know how to deal with him. As with all great champions, he needs to feel important. It means giving him responsibility, but also ‘communicating’ that he is one of the best.
“Maybe the problem is that he doesn’t feel as highly considered as he’d like.”

And lets hope fiorentina are stupid enough and loves us enough to accept that deal :xfinger:
Why not? Giovinco is not a bad player, he simply doesn't fit our system, he doesn't add much eventhough he had quite a few of goals/assists this season.

I think they'd rather accept that, than all cash too. Also, I can't see us offloading Giovinco aboard, so might as well use him to get one of the best players in Serie A from lesser teams.

IMO that would be perfect.

1. Hardly unlikely the rats would sell to us
2. Plenty other teams to easily match our offer, if not better.
3. Marotta is our man negotiating the deal :sergoi:
4. If we have a chance fio would wanna make sure they rip us a new one means probably all cash (A lot)

I'm a Gio fan, but I would accept this.

It's not like it's Real v Barca bidding war so they can chose to ignore our offer. They are a midtable club, I highly doubt they'd walk away cause of Berbatov crap? Nah.

Would you rather accept 30mln or 18-20mln + Giovinco for Jovetic?

I know I would accept the second offer.

You are from Croatia of some crappy country like that...you would accept horse meat as medium raw beef. So why should people believe in you though? :D
