Don't take it personally. Jojo is not worth 30m. You forget we paid 15m for Vucinic, which is less than Matri. And if Vucinic is worth 15m, theres no way Jojo is worth double that coz as things stand Vucinic is a more complete player and will be for the next two years while also being less injury prone. End of.

Its nothing personal and Jojo is already better than Vucinic and certainly not more injury prone than the vooch.

He's easily worth 20-22 mil tough in nowadays transfer market.
Like I said, we'll probably pay 15m and a couple of make weights in the deal to meet the valuation of 25-27m. But in my personal view, he is not worth that money.

No way. Vucinic is almost a decade older, has achieved more, and has a more worn out body as an athlete, but his injuries are few and far between. He misses game time due to flu more than injury at least this season. Jojo is not already better than Vucinic. He may have a better work ethic but that's about it.

It's all relative. I think Jojo is a better player than Diego, but the latter we paid 25 M for. Cavani isn't worth 60 M either. He's amazing but he's not 3 times better than a 20 M player like Higuain. The point is, a players value doesnt reflect so much how good he is as a player as much as how much of he's seen good form in the last year or two, and most importantly, how much his club value him

For example, a player like Quag is worth less to us than he would if he playing for Palermo. So how much Jovetic is worth is not dependant on his abilities per se. Its mostly about his form and this year, hes worth less than last year because of injury. So I'd say he's probably worth around 15 to 20 M now, but if we can get him, and he plays regularly for a season or two, his value could easily double.

That's why this is the best time to buy him, his value is as low as it could get right now.

I don't think anyone will pay 30m cash for Jojo. Including the champions of another era, Arsenal.

Sure. Like Cavani is a case in point. It's about a smaller club trying to sustain the loss of a player that's carried the, into their revenue model so they can fill in a couple of positions more than adequately. The player himself isn't worth more than 30m-35m as per a conventional estimate of a high quality European lleague player.

Even in Jojo's case, like you correctly pointed out, the price can change from season to season. Age is a huge pointer, because one has to factor in potential at such an age, along with the selling club's profile. Unfortunately though, the player himself hasn't done anything of note to warrant paying a heavy price like what is in his clause. He is a 15m-18m value player at best. What he does at Juve could change that valuation, but for now, this is how I see it.

You should become Juve's new coach, if Conte leaves. With you we can make it to Serie B or C1 . ;)
You should just leave the forum :)
