Maybe they might get a new coach and he doesn't fit tactics or doesn't get along with coach etc..

We may get a trophy in return with Ibra, whereas Jovetic might not...

Can he carry a team though? Doubt it...
Ancelotti is still going to be there, I would think. I haven't read otherwise, at least...

He doesn't need to carry the team. That's exactly the thing, this is a team game - we should never be reliant on one player (that really has been part of our strength the past two years). We have a young, balanced team that has lots of quality, and solid veteran leadership; Jovetic can come in and grow into the team. He has also demonstrated the ability to lift his team up in big games in the past, and has demonstrated leadership qualities at Fiorentina (stepping up big in CL against Pool, wearing the arm band/being a vice captain).

Anyway, if we get either he or Higuain (they seem like two of our more likely targets atm), I will be over the moon.

Look at Bayern game though, the whole team besides Vidal was crap (or simply outclassed), we need a player that can make something out of nothing. Can't think of a better player for that than Ibra. A change of formation may lessen this need.

I won't complain if we get any one of them but I think Ibra would be a better signing than Jovetic :D

It's hard to argue against a player with as much quality as Ibra, but I'll pretty much always argue against Zlatan to Juve :D

In truth, if he came here, I guess I'd have to find a way to support him. Thank God that's not going to happen! :p

Jovetic set for Viola talks
By Football Italia staff

Fiorentina will hold talks with star man Stevan Jovetic about his future at the end of the campaign.
The Montenegrin international is a wanted man on the transfer market, but Viola chief Andrea Della Valle is hoping to keep him in Tuscany.
“We spoke with Stevan at length, and clearly, last summer,” Della Valle is quoted as saying in Tuttosport.
“We’ll do that again in 10 days’ time, by looking into his eyes and reiterating certain ideas. So far, he’s behaved in a very mature way and that has been appreciated.
“I personally hope he stays.”
Amongst the many clubs interested in the forward are arch-rivals Juventus.
“Would we never sell him to Juventus? I repeat, we’ll speak in 10 days. It makes no sense in doing that now.
“What I can say is that you can go and fight for a Scudetto elsewhere, but the atmosphere here and these fans are not easily found in other places.”

The 23-year-old has scored 12 goals in 28 League games this term.

kinda sounds to me like jovetic badly wants juve ^^

For sure...i hope we make that deal this time.

Matri + Maronne(co own) + 10 mil is a fair deal imo.

Oh hush, if Conte wants him, it's for a reason and I doubt his football knowledge is anything less than yours. If Conte has shown us anything it's that he can extract the best form from players.
Doesn't mean that we can't dislike the player or make us want to vomit when we hear his name linked to the club we love.

He isn't a pukeworthy player, but he is overrated and will cost us €30 fucking millions++. He is worth half of that sum.

Yes, let's get Denis as well if Conte likes him

Kolarov is an overrated lazy ass. He's no good as a LB. His defending is horrible, and he can really be a careless mofo.
He might surprise you under Conte. In fact, I think he'd be a great complement to Licht on the right.

You really have a strange love for average football players.
I do actually, I dunno why. Schillaci and German Denis another couple of examples.

Higuain and Jovetic is totally achievable...in fact I expect it.
Both players on the market. Both with wages within our parameters. And both with realistic purchase values assuming Jojo is bought in exchange for players and 10m. And not 30m.

That, perhaps coupled with the fact that he didn't push the move through last season and stayed at the club. It may have been a gentlemans agreement that he would have a say in his next destination. DV's words sound like its a very realistic move.

I missed the memo where Jovetic became a puke-worthy player to even be linked with? Weird.
Not a puke-worthy player at all. Good potential, but growing slower than the hype suggests, and most certainly hasn't achieve anything to make him worth 30m.

This I get more, mainly for the price, and that his development has stagnated last 2 seasons (mainly due to injuries). But I would still sign him given the opportunity (not for inflated price).

I'd take Higuain over him, but if there's a chance to get him too (which I doubt) with cash + players then we should not miss the opportunity.

Imagine Llorete, Higuain, Jojo instead of the current strikers.
