i just find it incredible how we spend the season bitching about the lack of quality up front and demanding that marotta fills that void, yet the moment we get linked with a 29 year old world class player or a younger player who is valued at 30 mill suddenly the reaction is HELL NO!, he's washed up! he's not worth 30 mill! he's not world class! etc...

so that leaves the question who is realistically left?
Osvaldo.

so who would you buy?

you don't even want Tevez for a small fee, you don't want us spending 30 mill. Then what?
DO we have to buy ?

Our current team easely won the scudetto, and reached CL QF's, and could have gone further if we didnt meet the later winners there.

Now we added a great quality player such as llorente.

The mercato didnt even start yet. So we cannot know what possiblities there are.

Just look at serie a, look at players like hernanes, or look at germany and france.

We made an choise to invest in the continessa project. It could mean we cant sign a 25+mil player. Good we'll reap the benefits later. We are allready greatly improved with just LLorente.

Is Higuain deal off ? not quite.
Is Tevez deal gone ? not sure
Will Jovetic come back on his words ? Not sure

Will there be other possiblities on the market ONCE IT OPENS ? Very likely

llorente alone wont solve anything, not when our rivals already are looking dangerous

Who do you think we'll buy in attack and do you think we'll buy anyone at all? No disrespect to Nick and Mark, but I'm about to temporarily put them on ignore. Their news this summer are fake and confusing. I trust only you and Melo.

P.S: Janna isn't even a guru, so her fake news don't count.

If Beppe cant buy these high profile names,he should simply look to sign emerging talents(before they become too expensive).I've been saying this for months now ,someone like Muriel would be a very good purchase and a very good investment for the future.I can definitely see him becoming a success here,we have a good team,a good system and good players all around you, what more you need.

When we purchased Diego, there was no clear identity in the team,no proper system ,too many weak links and there wasnt a coach who couldnt get the best out of your players either.I'm only mentioning this cos people fear of the failure of unproven entities/or players who are not yet world class. But there are more pros than cons to suggest that young talented attacking players can succeed here.I wouldnt think it as a big risk or a gamble in my opinion.

Atleast they are way better than mediocre stopgap purchases with little to no resale value. We should be thinking that route than simply wasting time penny pinching on big targets when its clear we cant pay top dollar for them.

15th of June, 36 mil valued striker in the bag and still some people are picturing a hopeless case here, while we're clearly in pole position for Higuain. Spot on...

Please dont follow Zacheryah's route and exaggerate things here.

Although i agree.Lets see what unfolds in the coming months before knee-jerking so early in the window.

Definitely not going to the extent of saying welcome Jovetic. my heart says Tevez, but even the arsenal guys at work who were sure of signing Higuain only last week now recon he's Juve bound, whilst odds for Tevez to Juve have now been put on the market again and ever increasing

The 30mil tag on Jovetic was used. Well, Llorente's was 36. Same (shitty) arguement... We should just wait before overreacting right now...

And no, 109 goals in the last 6 seasons is not prolific ? Okaaaay.
