Over two years of constant talk he's not suited to the RWB role. Same thing for Asamoah.
They both will benefit from the change. Instead of being left on their own on the wings now they have wingers to work with. Even if you don't consider Tevez as a winger he helped a lot and if he wasn't there Pogba did. No harm there since we had an additional attacker/midfielder instead of a CB.

It's a lot different attacking as a full back as opposed to a wing back. As a full back you can often overlap into space, as a wing back you often end up faced directly against another full back or wing back. As Lichtsteiner isn't the most skilled technical player he can't really dribble a player with skill or beat him with a deep cross, so he's better running into space.
That goal though, that comes off 1 every 10 times for him, but that's how the game went. Finally a clinical performance.
