i would love to see him here. but the question is, what with him when everyone is fit again? loan out again? we already have Pogba (Romulo), Pirlo (Marchisio) and Vidal (Pereyra) so we are covered. i was expecting us to bring back Sturaro not sooner than 2016 tbh
I would agreed with you if we still played 3-5-2 and only 3 CMs starting. But we play 4 CMs formation, and our best quartet start, leaving only Pereyra on the bench to back them up (Padoin LB backup, and too poor of a CM anyways). Because rest assured, we are taking back Sturaro early only because Romulo's career seems to be over with us, injury plauged and will be gone for a while, plus takes time to get back, and its only 4 months left of the season. So might aswell take back someone who we planned on adding in the summer. And its sad, but I'm leaning heavily on this being Pirlo's last season with us, so will be more room rotation wise next season.

youre right. 5.5M is the transfer fee which we have to pay in the next 3 years, 2M are bonuses on his performances for Genoa and 3.5M are bonuses during the whole lenght of his contract
€2m is linked to his appearances with Genoa(performance bonus)... like if he plays a certain number of matches this season (Genoa let him gain experience instead of benching) Juve have to pay €2m.
the €3.5m is probably linked to how useful he will be to Juve, how many CL qualifications/titles won during his time with Juve.

the official statement didn't go into the details of the extra €2m or €3.5m...
but I don't understand why the press is saying Juve have to "convince" Genoa to bring back its own player from loan... I hope bringing him back early means Juve don't have to pay the €2m part of the agreement.

Either Vidal or Pereyra are played at AM, so we technically do have another spot. I also worry about his playing time though.

actually we need a left back more than a CB, evra is a liability, asamoah is another 2 months away from returning and padoin is the best out of what is available to us but still not one to be heavily relied upon, meanwhile milan are bidding for siqueira, we should be in with that shit

Evra is not a liability currently, he has been good enough for past 2 months, should focus on replacing him only in the summer, unless Kwadwo goes into the LB role, he havent had a go at it yet.

I'm not a huge fan of Evra but he has played ok recently.

Exactly, nothing special, but adequately does his job, a couple above the norm excellent performances, defenitely nothing that suggests we need to replace him asap.

his positioning has been very suspect definitely our weakest point in defence when Bonucci and/or Chiellini aren't having their brain fart moments

In what games?

Nothing that suggest very suspect at all, trust me, one would noticed, like one noticed at the start of the season how very questionable he was in his performances, but since we changed to 4 man defence and Kwadwo been injured, he has done his task as LB with little to criticize (except the Sampdoria game), nothing to praise either, but defenitely not very suspect. It sounds like you are just searching for reasons to complain about him, I would have prefered if we hadnt signed him, but its best to keep critic fair and as objective as possible. Based on current performances, nothing suggest we should replace him this January.

Poor against Sassuolo, fiorentina and had it not been for bonucci's brain fart moment he was our weakest link in defence against inter, his better games came against sampdoria and atletico madrid at home

Sturaro will be useful, since right now we have 5 players for 4 positions in the mid. Can't count on Romulo, Asamoah or Marrone.

About Evra, he was disgraceful as WB. As a LB, he can do OK, as he's been doing. Nothing more than Padoin acually. Just ok not to fuck it up.

I was about to reply further for it all, then I see you consider one of his weakest games Sampdoria, as better ones? Really? His defending on Gabbiadini was shocking, both in the goal and in general that game how he allowed space.

Either way, the club wont and shouldnt sign a LB this January, and they wont so its moot.

I agree his inability to close down gabbiadini was shocking, in fact it happened twice on the flip side he did make the most number of successful tackles 2nd to Marchisio who was motm for us imo and he did score which redeems him somewhat. I would also question his positioning against torino

evra imo has been player well. but it is a risk when in the champions league. I think we should go for Balanta. he can play CB but he is fast and dynamic enough to play LB.
