I'm just afraid we're getting Stankovic instead of Xabi Alonso, which would make it a terrible signing. Besides, i'm not sure Stankovic has more to offer than Nedved(Stankovic had his worst season in years in 07/08) and we all want to see Giovinco come through.

Cannavaro had his worst season when we bought him. And Zanetti wasn't world class either. It's Inter, few players have good seasons there.

I, as Dominic, think we get him instead of Alsono! Thats no problem for me, cause we have Zanetti, about whom we all shouldn't forget! Putting him straight to the bench wouldn't be fair.
Best thing about Dejan is, that he can play so many positions! That gives the tinkerman a lot of options.

Stankovic interest could be real as an alternative winger, it seems that old Neddy is getting older, Marchionni is leaving, Salih isnt a reliable solution and Giovinco could try a more center role in our midfield.

But i suspect that we use these rumors to send a message to Liverpool that we have alternatives and they shouldnt ask a fortune for Alonso, because that would force us to look for someone else.

Inter are getting Mancini and they might let Stankovic go, on cheap.

Stinkovic is a great player the only thing that makes me against this transfer is the fact that he chose Inter over us a few years back but I can get over it

both would strengthen our midfield IMO. with giovinco coming back as well, it allows him to be implemented slowly rather than throwing him in there.
