Yep, lets see if he can repeat this, or improve on it like they have (because it got to the point for them scoring 40 goals been seen as "mediocre" season if they dont win everything too).

I think he can... It'd be different if he was more Messi-dependent. But we saw what him and Neymar did in that 10 game or so stretch Messi was out injured. Neymar had something like 13 goals-8 assists, and Suarez had 12 goals-4 assists.

Suarez has shown he can dominate whether or not the attack is running through Neymar or Messi...

It's Neymar who needs to figure out how he can add to the team when Messi is playing. Because he was really quite mediocre this year after Messi came back from injury.

Torres Golazo (almost twice):drill:

Incredible revival powers by Simeone. Torres back to his best. Tiago before that. This is like Conte's revival of Pirlo and Barzagli.

Torres to sink Madrid
Back to his best

He scored 12 goals in 43 games this season. Amazing truly, Liverpool Torres has nothing on him

Simeone is a genius for making this happen

His return to form has been at the latter stages of the season. He scored 10 goals and 3 assists in his last 12 starts and 6 sub appearances (25 min avg) which is great in general and especially great for a 32 year old striker who was terrible for years. There was an article about it somewhere that was saying this is his best run of games ever (including liverpool). Plus you can see it in his confidence and the manner in which he is touching the ball and finishing chances now. He is back to using instinct rather than being overly-conscious and anxious in shooting the ball. Dzeko has that anxiety now.

So you make your conclusions on a 12 game run now. Amazing
Said by the guy who judged Lemina after 3 games

10 goals and 3 assists in 18 appearances (6 sub) + the clear difference in how he is playing from instinct again + the fact that he never even came close to being that good (stats wise and quality of touch wise) under many coaches across different clubs. That is a good number of games especially if output is that high.

This dude was coached by AVB, Di Matteo, Benitez, Mourinho and Inzaghi before Simeone. Thats 5 coaches who tried with Torres and failed to have anything close to that effect. These 5 coaches include Benitez who is a good coach and knew torres very well and was in charge during his best years, and Mourinho who is a top level coach with a very good record of making players give their all. You have to be blind not to credit Simeone for getting this much out of a player that everyone else failed with.

Morata in contrast has 8 goals and 7 assists in his last 18 appearances and you have no problem in saying that he is back to last year's form after a long (not torres long obviously) slump. There is always the possibility of hitting the slump again, but these runs are definitely evidence of a leap in quality of performances.
