Even if it wasn't attacking player but similar role, it wouldn't been the same, there is very very very few players in the game who have the kind of calming and controlling effect Modric has on a midfield.


You should seen his first game back from injury, my Real fan brother was skipping with excitement seeing them keep so effortless possession again. The defenders and others looking to pass to him at all times and him just simply making things tick with serene confidence, allways available and well positioned, clever, extreme ball control. I can go on.


It's funny that exactly the player Barca midfield needs is in Real.
