On a side-note. Is Neymar starting to surpass Messi as Barcelona's most dangerous attacker? :D
No, LE has Neymar as free role focal point of the attack while Messi has the attacking midfielder nr 10 role (under LE the wings are more of forwards going in centrally alot then staying wide to support Messi) , starting deep and being the playmaker basically, notice how little he attempted to shoot last night. That's generally how he plays this season, and why he has almost 10 goals less than Ronaldo this season when he used to score equal or more, more occupied with finding passing lanes then spearheading the attack. I guess part of it is to compensate for the clear decline in Xavi and Iniesta, while Rakitic is more a conservative regista type then direct playmaker.

that post from the roma forum that says a serie A game and la liga game look like two different sports couldn't be any more right.
it's upsetting because we had worse footballers in conte's first season, yet we played such a better and more dangerous style of football than we have in the past 3 seasons.

sure we had a an amazing pirlo then, but now we have an amazing pogba, tevez and others. yet we still cant play a more agressive football. why

It's the mentality. It has to be.

And i think Pepe made a difference too. Having a guy like that who is willing to make runs and take risks can pay off. Look at Roma and how good Gervinho looks under them. we haven't had a winger since then.

Funny how La Liga is so bad defensively they never lose by six goals in the Champions League.

Lets make fun of La Liga right after the second best Italian team gets blown out.

 :howler: Haters are always gonna hate I guess.

There were definitely a lot of defensive mistakes, but the flow in general, the crisp passing, the movement, the pace at which the game was played, and how direct both teams were, that is something this version of Serie A can only dream of.

Back then we were not expected to win anything, so the underdog 'let's have a go at these fuckers' mentality was good

But sadly when we became favourites, we became pussies somewhere along the way.

And yeah let's not laugh at La Liga considering there's 3 teams in that league alone that are superior to us

Valencia would probably take us over 2 legs too.

You mean 4? Barca, RM, AM, Valencia.
