Nowadays yes, but with the same arguments Messi was a lot better than Ronaldo two years ago or so.


I don't really like either (don't really dislike them as well), but just sayin'.

Ronaldo > Messi from 05-08

Messi > Ronaldo from 09-12

Ronaldo > Messi from 13-14



However, there were Messi apologists suggesting a few games ago that his 7 goals and 7 assists was equivalent to Ronaldo's 15 goals and 3 assists at the time

    A lot? I don't think he ever was. How was he better when you see Ronaldo score tons of goals for fun and carry Real much more on his own, compared to Messi who always had Iniesta and Xavi feeding his ass.

    Even back then he was scoring like 50 goals per season, so saying he was a lot beter than Ronaldo doesn't make much sense.
