you cant possibly be a juve fan and say that, not out of partiality, but rather seeing first hand what he has done and this is coming from one whos often labelled a DP hater. Henry is not even on the same galaxy imo

That's true. You are labelled a DP hater.

I'd also take Il Capitano, not just because of the fact he is a more loyal individual and better captain.

I'd like to see Messi play in the Premiership.

For now Ronaldo has the edge.
Playing in the Premier League doesn't mean squat.

It's tough to choose between Henry and DP though. Henry is obviously the more talented player but DP has been more consistent. And then comes the attitude which really doesn't favor Henry's punk ass at all. I'd rather have DP on my team any day of the week.

That whole "play in the Prem" crap is similar to how some said Messi couldn't score with his head. Then he promptly scored one in La Liga and then against Chelsea.

The Prem has similar garbage defenses to Spain in the bottom half of the league. It's a myth to say that England has superior defenses from bottom to top... it's just that the Prem has more elite teams than Spain.

thats got little bearing on who the better players is, stick messi in juventus(or argentina) and he ll have little impact, and that wont mean hes not worldclass, different team different dynamics
no, i said he wouldnt be having those numbers or influence(duh right), same predicament hes having with the argies
"Have little impact". So you must have misspoke.

Late 90's. Henry at Arsenal has still shown more talent than DP ever has. Talent doesn't determine the better player though, the impact they have on the team does and that's why 'd ultimately pick DP.

You also have to remember that Henry went to Arsenal in '99, developed in a league that was still developing itself, and scored his goals in a competition nowhere near as strong as it is today. While in contrast, Del Piero was at his prime when Serie A was considered the bread and butter of the world's game.

The defenses were certainly less sound in England seven years ago from today. Tactically, the Prem didn't come alive until the glorious foreigners entered the stage a few years after Turd Ferguson won the '99 Treble. Arsenal went unbeaten in 2004, a league that was rather poor by today's standards, and it obviously did not have the investment capacity and strategery[sic] it had only shortly afterwards. So knowing this, you can't say Henry played in a better league against better defenses. And you certainly cannot say Henry's prime years coincided with the years when the Prem was the supposed "best league in the world."

Del Piero's prime, overall consistency, leadership/loyalty, ability to make something out of nothing, and his grace make him the better player to me. Throw in what legends of other clubs have to say about Del Piero, and you'll find -- without argument -- that Alex was better than Henry.
