This forum is really weird, this semi witch hunt about Barca is nothing bit surreal to read really in some of these posts. the part of thinking they are not more then a football club is right (despite their fused catalan rebellic history, that part we cant belittle), and how they over sell themselves with PR BS, that part I get. And that some of the players/employee's (Xavi is a dick, love to watch him as a player, but the guy is a dick) in the club are bit too footie elitists/arrogant mofos (they been around Cruyff too much, heh).
But I mean, to actually dog on their football? Thats just down right passing several stages of weirdness. If its related to simply finding some of the games too onsided, that I get at times, but its defenitely more then that from what I'm hearing. Thats just taking personal biasm too far when you even let it effect your basic perception of football. What they usually do on a football pitch is absolutely fantastic, how can that not be obvious?
And I also find it odd to let glory hunters/bandwagoners EFFECT your opinion of a club to the point you severely dislike the club for mainly that alone. I use to recall same thing with Man U fans, Real etc. Thats a factor, granted, but to let it effect your opinion that much? Jeez. I heard the same thing since I started watching footie, friends who hate clubs solely because some idiot they know is a fan of it, or their too many asian school girls who wear their shirt etc. Maybe its personality thing, but how is that much of a thing to hold against a club? (success= more commerical).
And finally, one thing I already mention, their football, its admirable to watch AND most importantly, their football philosphy ideology is inspiring, because they decided to on one path and have been nurturing and schooling everyone involved with the club on it for almost 3 decades (got more purist on that for last 20 years).
To the degree that in last CL game for example, they fielded lots of reserve/B team youngsters, and they basically executed the gameplay as fantastic as their usual world stars did. I saw a re-run of the game. And it was ridicolous to see, bunch of youngsters (with the help/backbone of experienced playwrs) so tutored into a football philosophy that they bossed their opponents in the highest stage of football basically. That is defenitely something most clubs would like to function like, not that same one perse, but to have a style/philosophy so steeped into every part of your structure that it becomes second nature to the players in your organisation. From the 11 year olds to the world stars.

He's good but his maradona style dribbling doesn't amaze me, I know it's difficult and hes in a class of his own but I admire more of a ronaldinho style of dribbling. Nasri is really good, along with arshavin and I like watching Walcott as well. Plus I think Fabregras is great to watch picking out passes with ease, yes I know Xavi does that even better.

well heres an easy one for you, if its painfully obvious to see, why beat it to death and here out of all places? as for your examples, cant stand man u because it's a no pedigree a team that didnt even exist some 20 odd years ago, and real is a joke because of how it overspends on players(barca too). And a little history lesson, juventus has had a philosophy/style way before this barca garbage and i cant wait for us to get back on track and re-teach those "catalans" which style is boss.
I think you're making the mistake of tying philosophy to clubs. There's no saying that in 20 years Barca will play the same football as they do now, just like Real will eventually become accustomed to the Mourinho philosophy... if they provide him time. If you're arguing transfer market purchases, then perhaps you have a point (see Perez's buy and sell net loss of 17M Euros for Samuel).

see, thats where you re wrong we too have had a philosophy(and kinda still do), but when you suck who gives a crap what philosophy or style of play is. And actually it's called identity, and juventus has one and has always had it before the cryff horse shit barca got on, the same cruyff that got destroyed by milan in the old CL final. Strong defense realistic in front of goal, i take heart and sweat over skill any day of the week, and that is why i am a juventus fan.
The identity of Juventus has always consisted of purchasing only players we need, having a strong work ethic, and always having balance. This sort of identity is a bit different fromphilosophy on the pitch, meaning we might take different avenues to achieve consistent victories. For instance, Lippi's sides of the 1990's were different than Capello's of the mid-2000's from a tactical perspective. Both were built around sound defenses, but they varied in degrees of expression and freedom on the park, especially in the build up play.
So while the work ethic is still there, along with having a fighting spirit, we can certainly employ different footballing philosophies when it comes to tactics and youth development. In fact, I'd hope this would be the case because our handling of the youth has been absolutely horrid. A good club can always change for the better, keeping identity but changing certain philosophies.
