I think Real Madrid represents everything wrong with the football world. Hitting a 200 million euro reset button whenever things go south and hiring a new coach every other year looking for instant success rather than building a club through substance and style. Sure Barca spend a lot too (undeniably in excess), but they are a team that has been assembled over a period of time rather than in a season. If it's a case to too evils, Madrid is the fucking devil.
As for the Mas que un club thing. If you don't like it,
don't watch 'em. Sure it's annoying, but every big club thinks they're more than a club.
I'm on a Juventus forum, I know these things.
Granted I prefer the Valencia's and Mallorca's of La Liga. That Laudrup guy sure can manage.
